Darling Victory, you enjoy the roll way too much... as I might think you are truly a pig...but I have enough money to enjoy other things. Let's let the court decide....and then there are the appeals if you have money....so enjoy life. and another saying "if you lay with the dog you may get up with tics.....

And now we can stop with the personal insults please. Get back to the serious matter in hand and put your personal feelings for each other to bed. Can't believe there are 39 dogs in limbo and you 2 are at each other, it stops now, would be a shame for this thread to end in a back and forth slanging match between members.
   Thank you "Darlings"

Mr. Geck, are you still willing to adopt Dante if he is neutered?

G. Morning Mr/Mrs Momma

I replay your question :   if Dante is neutered :  YES  I CAN ADOPT  HIM  .

Im not a speculator !!!    as probably many people who want him to cost  0  .   I or another person is equal enough that it holds well  .
(it would be better if no neutered because I or other person  can bring him to the German Sieger show 2014 in Numberg ,
He is beautiful , its shame not to make him do the races )

* if the dogs remain to be Mrs Dawn , I just hope that there will be somebody who will check over the years their status .

* Momma , Mrs Tank is a clean person , she saved Nixie , look the movie  :   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLPjkiSn2dA      !!!!

* I will not write more on this topic waiting for the judge's decisions .

Momma thank you for your question .

Regards
P. Cosentini

I've seen a situation like this before and am not buying that it happened over a couple or a few days but for those of you arguing that possibility, I did some math. Using the absolute smallest size wire crate that a small GSD should be in with a floor area of 36" x 24" and using 2" as the depth of the (dried and compacted) feces, I came up with a volume of one cubic foot or 1728 cubic inches of excrement.  I'm guessing that the normal size of my dog's poops could fit into a 3" square box...that's 27 cubic inches, wet.  Assuming a dog eliminates twice a day, that's 54 cubic inches per day.  1728/54 = 32 days.  If you double the amount the dog goes or halve the depth of the waste, it's still more than 2 weeks...and, again, that's for the smaller sized crate.  Most of those look to be the 42" x 28" size and we won't even begin to address the size of the kennels some of the dogs are in or the amount of filth they contain.  Sorry, but that sort of neglect doesn't happen in a few days.

I know...no one said there'd be math...

Keith, you didn't factor the torn paper and sawdust into your
equation.  My turn to call BS I'm afraid;  I'm telling you what
I have seen happen IRL.  Not working out fantasy sums in
your nice clean home or a well run Shelter.  I would not wish
some of the things I have witnessed over the years on anybody.

BTW for those posters with a limited number of dogs who say
that if one was ill, they'd be on their knees scrubbing the corners
of a messed up crate SO WOULD I (though probably with some
other suitable small brush than a tooth brush - Yuk !  lols).  But
do you imagine this Dawn Whatsit would - or could - manage
that on a daily basis ... TIMES c. 30+ crates ?

Linda.

Who the heck cares what kind of brush? A toothbrush is a small brush that can get into tiny crevices - and no, I did not use it again afterwards Roll eyes

My dogs poop/pee more then twice a day!

I've been kinda monitoring the amount, and was suprised how much comes out! And that's with premium quality grain free feed. I cannot imagine how much they'd pass with a lessor kibble. One in particular does approx 1.5 to 2 cups of poo each time and she goes 4x a day. Cannot tell the amount of pee, don't care enough to measure it... In a day and a half, she would do 10 or 11 cups of poo, add to that pee and shavings or paper.......that a bunch of mess.

Growing puppies, say 7 to 12 months and pregnenant or lactating females......they eat and poo even more!

@hund and sitamom, so the breeder has great practices that we should all emulate?

by SitasMom on 24 February 2014 - 23:02

vk4gsd, I don't know what the practices were and what events lead to this situation.

On the facebook page, (Feb 2014), I did see photos a clean house, with clean dogs.

What ever happened, the dogs were clean only a week or two earlier.

I cannot imagine trying to take care of 39 dogs in the house (becasue of weather), and with little or no help.

I pity dogs and also with the owners of the dogs that had no idea what was going on.
