Ups, in that case I´d be careful and ask twice about the "legal" owner - only in case ( pedigrees for my litter ).

We could argue about breeding dogs without former proof of working abilities, but honestly, AKC doesn´t ask for it - it´s your country and your rules, not mine...

"Troas"....Very nice looking Black German Shepherd...Has very nice DDR Pedigree... But there are many good dogs around...a lot of which are now in the United States...Including "Iron von den Wolfen" (Just won the 2015 WUSV-1st Win for the United States)

FYI, black does not improve pigment. I would use a rich bicolor or sable with very dark eyes over most blacks any day if I were looking to improve pigment.

Working doesn't have to mean hideous. Let's be honest and fair. I admit, I do want to vomit when I read the "black sable" phrase in the top line of a description of a dog BUT- I have absolutely no problem with people seeking a CORRECT dog in EVERY facet. I do not feel a hideous dog who does not meet the standard but is a good worker is any more CORRECT than a gorgeous dog who is afraid of his own shadow. One may be more USEFUL than the other, but neither is CORRECT.
Truce is 12 years old and in excellent health. And the top half of the pedigree is identical to Troas, and that's why I suggested him if this is what the OP is seeking. Longevity is hugely important to me, and part of why I purchased my pup out of Truce from Kurt Hill. This bitch is super healthy, strong, and vigorous- the kind of pup who can eat absolutely anything, in any amount, and never get sick. Perfect stools regardless of sudden diet change, sneaking into things she shouldn't, eating half my garden, etc. Tough girl in body and mind.
You can come on over any time you want and test my pretties, Haz. I'm not even a tiny bit concerned you'd equate them to sable showlines. And I think they are stunning, and CORRECT per the SV standard for conformation.

I do not care if someone uses a dog they find visually appealing over another if both are equal in the work. However, this is rarely if ever the case. There are many of these breedings going on. What happens to the pups? Nothing, they dissapear into the petland black hole.
The breed will be better served when they completely remove show ratings from Koer Klass for WL.
I may take you up on that Jenni, what state are you in. Or just post some vids of the work.
