WOW, pull a bunch of disjointed information from every source you can to draw crazy conclusions.  When a study is discredited, still use it to make your point.

Yes, ultrasound can affect tissue, it's used in sports to help create heat and repair injuries.  Take that machine, which is different from the ones that are used for imaging and make wild statements.

Fear technology much?

Internet lore at it's best.

Really I never had great luck with ultra sound;  I think it depends on how efficient the machine is and horse vets seem to have the better equipment.  So  after failing some ultra sound results years ago,  I would treat your bitch as though she IS pregnant,  feed her as such, leash walks to help to build her tone and keep tone;  quality proteins with eggs, cottage cheese, yogarts.  Best of luck  Nan

bzcz, stick your head in the sand much? You consistently misread or worse, distort and twist what is contained in articles in a feable attempt to change reality.

Maybe you have had brain damage caused by ultrasound when you were in the womb....it's a possibility, so I will ignore your ignorance and let you you vent without giving you the dignity of responding to your ridiculous posts from here on out.

by bzcz on 02 July 2014 - 15:07

Good!  Now if we can just keep the crazy out of legitimate threads.  I sure didn't go from ultrasounds being a SECRET ABORTION DEVICE !?! to them causing autism in an hour.  Hmmmm  I wonder who did?

The FDA routinely has a secret agenda to kill unborn children.  . (huge sarcasm here)

Can't even believe this is a discussion happening anywhere let alone on PDB.

I tend to keep my head in the land of reality.  You should give it a try sometime,  nice place.

Btw, Einstein, that was one source. You apparently have a hang up accepting truth........remember all  your bogus claims and insults at me, then trying to use epigenetics as your proof of your statements a couple months ago? You really showed how weak your understanding of anything scientific at that point and continue here. Stick to talking training your world champion ipo dogs...where your slightly more believable.

by bzcz on 02 July 2014 - 16:07

LOL.  lets play my source vs your source.  It'll be fun!!!

My wife is a molecular bioligist whose field is genetic testing and reasearch of which she is a published author in several peer reviewed journals over the years.. She has access to far more info than you or I could ever find, which I get to read and then have her explain to me.

Your source?

Because I sure don't see any sources for your SECRET ABORTION DEVICEClock

by joanro on 02 July 2014 - 16:07

bzcz, SECRET ABORTION DEVICE was meant as sarcasm...You are one of those people who love argument more than life and can't accept anything which contradicts your embrace of all which is accepted as normal....ie, microwave ovens, Roundup, GMOs, ultrasound to view inside the womb, etc.

The op said the first ultrasound showed eight pups or so, the last one the vet couldn't see anything.. I have heard the same complaint from many others, ultrasound confirmed pregnancy then empty. The article gave an explanation.

So your wife is supposedly a molecular biologist...So what. What does that have to do with ultra sound causing damage to developing embryos. I imagine you would need to have what you read explained to you, you don't have the capacity to understand on your own. You are the ultimate keyboard warrior...everything is conjured up, taken out  of context if any portion of a posted article is read, you demonstrate zero real life experience in anything you post...it's all regurgitated from your "sources". Maybe you need someone to explain to you what's in the articles, cause you sure don't indicate you have any inkling of understanding.

You think ultrasound is ultra safe, so why don't you go expose your testicles to the same exposure embryos get during curiosity seeking dog owners and parents. Have it done about three or four times for two months, then come back and tell us how things are working.

I doubt you have the balls.

So...... do pregnant women get ultrasounds for abortions?! Hahahahahaha that is freaking ridiculous claim! Quick government, get rid of ultrasounds! They're used for secret abortions!

by schgsdman on 02 July 2014 - 17:07

People that have NO IDEA what tests do or how their mechanisms of actions work, don't need to jump to ridiculous conclusions. Let's read something on the internet about ultrasounds being ridiculously dangerous. Throw out your medical and science textbooks everyone! We have a winner! Screw those doctors and nurses and vets and everyone else, none of them got degrees, none of them know what they're doing. Wikipedia states otherwise hahahahahaha

by bzcz on 02 July 2014 - 17:07

BS your post was sarcasm.  Nice try.

You really shouldn't talk about that which you know nothing (which is most things it appears).

Three ultrasounds?  Both of my last two children had more than that that were longer lasting than what a vet would do with multiple embryos.

See in a people ultrasound, they take measurements, trace blood flow and many other tests and they can last for over a half an hour in some cases.  And Ultrasounds are done 4-6 times during a pregnancy and even more if it's a high risk pregnancy and yet the children are...gasp! normal.

Keep reading that high tech Jounal of Midwifery Today for all your latest news.  It seems to serve you well.

Since you get the facts wrong even in that simple little article.  It said NOTHING about ultrasound killing fetuses.  NOT. A. THING.

So please, impress us all.  Highlight in the article (that you provided to bolster you claim) for all of us where it states that ultrasound causes the loss of the embryo.
