Thanks Hundmutter!, I am learning something new today. My pack is organized with the leader and the girls around him. But they are so noisy!, they are playing running growling and barking during all the day. I was sorprised when i saw the dogs so quiet, I thought it was not normal.

Interesting, for me, a German Shepherd that barks would be unusual. Mine rarely bark and almost never during free time. That is 50% of what attracted me to the GSD breed in the first place.

I think GSs need to see or hear something before barking, someone o some dog who pass by my home, a noise from a next door, etc. I have Fidu and now other old girl GS, Fidea, they are very noisy, they also bark at each other, at cats... But as they told in this thread if they were in a very large park may be it would be different.

That looks idyllic! What a wonderful way to spend a couple hours, watching dogs play! My goofballs would be much the same......thanks for sharing that little bit of bliss! jackie harris

Jackie - wasn't it ? Absolutely blissful.
Mentayflor, Fawn - yes, you should have been there to hear when we
got back at the end of a walk, and they came within sight of the fence
running along the footpath outside. Woe betide anybody else's dogs
walking in the fields just off the property - they certainly got barked at !
