I've been feeding Diamond for 15 yrs, never had a problem, have 2 litters now on the ground eating it, on it 2 weeks, not a problem one! As a matter of fact, the older litter is 9 weeks old now, 6 went to their new homes last week, and all had perfect vet checks.

GRRRR!!!! This makes me sooo mad!! I haven't fed Diamond for a couple of years as I simply don't trust them. After going against my gut, I decided to give it a try again with feeding a 50/50 mix of Taste of the Wild and 4Health. Not only have my dogs been itching (which I figured was just from the winter coming = dry skin), but my 5 month old puppy has developed a lump on her back out of nowhere. A good friend of mine's GSD had some violent diarrhea and vomiting a couple weeks ago, who also eats Taste of the Wild. I am going back to my gut instinct and never buying their products again. I realize a lot of people have had success for years, but things are just too coincidental for me, and far too common for me to trust them ever again.

Everyone has to feed what they feel comfortable with. I've fed TOTW on and off since it came on the market, am feeding it now, and have never had any problems with it. I think Ziegenfarm may be on to something when she says it might have to do with the way the food is stored before it even gets to us. I can't think of one commercial dog food that hasn't received some bad press. Eagle Pack and Origen are probably two with the fewest complaints I know of. Other than making it yourself from home grown ingredients, we are at the mercy of the manufacturers and have to hope they don't have any disgruntled employees. I guess the same can be said for our own food.

You guys do realize that TOTW & 4Health along with numerous others are produced in Diamond owned plants.
The Gaston, SC plant is the one that has had most of the recalls. The other plants seem to be run better, adhere to safety protocol better.
One of the reasons I might have missed having any problems is none of the Diamond produced kibbles I've used (over many many years) has ever come from the SC plant...
