Aww!! Those kinds of cats are the best kinds. That is how I got my little Cheyanne. My aunt's rottie had found her in their yard and carried her inside, skin and bones, and started trying to nurse her! My aunt took her to the vet and then started looking for a home for her, and that was right around the time Dallas died, so she came with me. When I got her, my moms Golden, Jewel, took over and Chey adores her still. I was afraid Jewel might try to hurt her since she was so little, but I took this picture about 3 days after I brought Chey home. :)

My little Cat Norris and Surplus were the same way. Cat Norris showed up in the bushes on a cold rainy day, not even a week after I tragically lost my Pe'Pe'. Surplus was in mourning and I was heartbroken. Kittens have a way of mending things. It was 5:30 AM and this is the picture I sent my husband at work :) He thought I was joking LOL Cat Norris, AKA Jack, Psycho Cat, Spaz was a blessing when we needed it.

oh man, you guys....great stories...
yesterday after we came home and let him out of sun room, he was fed, played with and than he jumped up on the couch where my child was sitting walked over her, jumped on the leather chair where my husband was sitting walked over him and hopped from chair onto the couch i was on (he is definitely a "tree dweller" where our other cat is afraid of heights) and curled up under my chin and sat with me while we watched TV, with 2 other people around who are calling him, and wanting him he went to one person who is not really a cat person...even my husband said "he is a smart cookie, he knows if he wins you over, he won the war"....so...i think i will have to put on my big girl panties and admit to myself that i lost....and he is staying...and 50 fliers i printed yesterday will have to be trashed...
I guess we will have to work on a name...hubby loved escher, he also liked jug saw, my daughter wants"domino" or "bunny" he does looks like a rabbit with those skinny white legs...so its between those two to work it out.
I am staying out of it...LOL...
P.S.
I tried weighing him on my digital scale that can show you weight in .25 pounds incriments....well....scale didn't even register that something was on it..stayed at 0.0

Oscar is just not happy about new addition he sat in his cat house the whole evening...at first he tried hissing from the top but that only encouraged kitten to get closer...
Pissy Oscar

After few hissing rounds and seeing that no one really cares he decided to turn his back and ignore everyone.

Kittens are so much fun when you move something unexpectedly like pulling the towel from behind him.

and than he ran and hid in a book shelf.

This tiny little thing is only a couple of inches taller than our salt shaker....

the good thing is that he gets tired out really fast....

Escher, you mean? It is the purr-fect name! Your hubby likes it, too.

well as of yesterday we finally got a name for a little guy...Gus (will have to see if it will stick..this is a 3rd name this week..LOl)
here are few photo updates...1st two for a comparison ..
Little guy eats as much as Oscar, and he is a real stinker...yesterday he was laying on my lap asleep...at one point he woke up and sneezed so hard he farted, I thought I was going to pass out - had to ask for a ceiling fan to be turned on because i could not breath...

Gus! ... okay, I guess! LOL
Glad grumpy Oscar mellowed towards Gus, he seems like a cool kitty.

here is update.....
Gus is a little terror.....he had grown a lot...since all my dogs know to ignore cats i am starting to notice that Gus is taking advantage of it....
Our kitchen/dinning has 2 doorways w/o doors...when Tank is in the kitchen with me he lays in a door way (out of my way) well Gus is taking upon himself to keep Tank inside the kitchen, if Tank approaches the door way Gus arches his back and hisses and hops sideways (its all cute and funny right now..i just hope Gus grows out of it) anyways Tank would turn around and walk to the other door way Gus would race him through living room hallway and would do the same thing in the other door....so Tank whines and goes back to the first door....Gus races back there on outside....LOL...so poor Tank had to lay under the stove next to my feet and even than Gus laid himself under the kitchen table (on a paper towel...LOL...) and stared poor Tank down....

here is Tank complaining that he is being "stared" at...he could not even focus on chewing on a rawhide...

here is this am picture....compare that to 2 weeks ago...there is a huge difference...Gus easily had doubled in size, not to mention he is solid, and heavy...
