LOL! Good way to describe them!
The hypoallergenic tag is a bunch of B.S. The original Golden doodles bred in Australia DID have a hypoallergenic gene, but not all of the dogs inherited it, and it was NOT related to the coat type. It had to be CAREFULLY SELECTED FOR.
Now, of course, they are saying that anything with a coat that has to be clipped is hypoallergenic, and people believe it.

Oh yeah that's their big selling point. Thanks for explaining about that gene. I knew in the beginning they were supposed to be but I never knew how it worked and I didn't understand genetics as well as I do now to even think about it.
