You can only push people so far before they put their foot down or up depending on your perspective.
This has been an ongoing battle for closing in on 2 years now and was a battle with the last admins before we came on the scene.
It is why the owner for years took the indirect route of deleting and saying nothing, but that really doesn't work.

People want to come back under different account, IP ban.
OT needs to have religion and politics removed. Period. Nothing creates controversy faster than those two topics. Create a separate subforum in OT for people who need to spout off about those topics.
I'm a member of several forums (not animal related) and one of the things that comes up regularly is the misconception that these places are a democracy. That's just foolish.
I'm a member of an online poker forum. Believe me, nobody whines and complains more than members of poker forums. Other than animal related forums that is.

I have fought against the admins on banning some of these people but I say let the hammer fall as it may. No more protection for the repeat, repeat, repeat offenders.
I am actually one of the most forgiving admins and also one of the main backers of giving people multiple chances but there comes a time when some members push to much and we need to play the subtaction game.
I can say this without a doubt in my mind, had the other admins been in charge most of the baiters and trouble makers would have been long gone months ago. And if anyone thinks different they better wake up.

Ibrahim,
Then when we ban members who have knowledge, the members need to understand that it was done for a reason and not because we just don't like someone. I say let the hammer fall where it may.
That Shawty(the nicest mod) has a very good point, we do not take banning members lightly and we try to understand the life stresses that make people do the things they do but we can only go so far with people who bait us and then run to other forums laughing because they got a response from us. No matter the denial, 3 admins read these posts and were very turned off by that member.

Quote by GSD "I can say this without a doubt in my mind, had the other admins been in charge most of the baiters and trouble makers would have been long gone months ago. And if anyone thinks different they better wake up." This is a very true statement, GSD admin. is the most temperate mod. I have said many times in the past that if it was not for GSD, PDB would be short another half a dozen members. Without a doubt. Ibrahim, I am glad you liked my comment. I meant it. Ibrahim you said, "I think GSD is wise enough not to rush things." You are a good judge of character. This too is a true statement. |

I think that sometimes people who love this breed very much and are concerned about its future just get fed up with reading self-serving drivel from those who don't title, don't xray, don't health check or use dogs that don't pass those tests.
At any rate, thanks for the link to the TOS's.

To call AKC to find out whether a dog is registered and get that info only partially right and then to come here and post it as fact to discredit a member who they PERSONALLY don't like is ludicrious and borders on stalking. The member didn't call AKC because of interest in the litter the person called AKC to only dig dirt and come to find out that info was only partially correct.
We all want what is best for the breed BUT we cannot control what others do. This is a free country folks and you can't have freedoms only when it fits your agenda.
