vonissk, Please take a moment and watch this video, all of it mind you, and try to see what I see as an animal lover.  Try to be openminded too.

FYI: so it may not play for those who aren't signed on to their youtube.

At the begining of the video the euth vet confesses that he's slaughtering these animals, and as the video progresses on they contuine to confess that they're commiting murder. At the end of the day where theirs about 60 or 70 dead dogs and cat scattered in the hallway in front of the crematorium even the vet tech that it looked like a holocaust.

You said "When those people---and yes PEOPLE with children and families--went to that death camp they thought they were going into showers to actually take a shower NOT get executed. "

Same when a puppy/dog (or a cat/kitten that begins to pur) starts wagging their tails and licking at the vet tech not knowing that this is the last moment that they have on this planet. on 4:15 clip the vet tech explains exactly that.

I'm starting to get emotional again so I'm going to cut this short, and spend an hour with my furkids, they know how to cheer me up :)

Just watch the video and try to understand my point of view instead of calling me names.

Brittany, no there is nothing NICE about having to put any animal to sleep and working as a vet tech -- nurse is Not always good. I also have to deal with issues every day that I go to work, I hold and stroke those animals, whisper sweet words in their ears and shed a tear every time I have to deal with euthanazia.

Breed is a NO Issue there.

Whether fair or not, the Pit Bull and crosses of it has been an illegal breed in UK for nigh on 20 years and when the law came into force, all had to be registered and neutered so there should not be a single one in UK by now, yet there are hundreds of them being kept and bred.  Everyone who is involved in smuggling them in and breeding from them has killed these puppies, every Pit Bull they keep and litter they breed is at risk of being seized and destroyed and they know that, yet carry on regardless, happily selling them to people who do not fully understand what they are buying, some purchasers were not even born when the Dangerous Dogs act came in.   Don't blame the authorities for upholding the law, blame the criminals who perpetuate the problem, if they loved the breed as some claim to, they would just have neutered pet ones, which is allowed subject to the conditions of registering.  It's not as if the Pit Bull is an endangered breed, they are prolific in the countries where they are not illegal and hardly likely to die out.

MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ARE DYING DUE TO CIG SMOKING,,, THOUSANDS OF INNOCENTS DUE TO SECOND HAND SMOKE,,HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS DUE TO ILLEGAL DUMPING OF IND WASTES,,, A FEW HANDFUL DUE TO PIT BULL ATTACKS...

YEAH GO AHEAD DESTROY ALL THE PIT BULLS,, CAUSE THEY R THE ONLY ONES WHO COULDN BRIBE ANYONE FOR THEIR DEEDS.

AND YES DOGS AINT HUMAN CAUSE THEY DON RAPE,, THEY DON KILL FOR PLEASURE,, THEY DON CUTTHROAT AND THEY DON DO THINGS AGAINST NATURE.

AND THEY R THE ONLY ONES WHO LOVE U MORE THAN UR WIFE OR THE SO CALLED CHILDREN....

It's a cruel world, too much power in the hands of government and courts yet we have to live with it or change it. Continuing to comment on this just invites more ludicrous comment.

Brittany, I have an idea of where you were during your "hiatus" from this forum. Clearly, from the poor and insensitive judgment you once again display, along with your inability to recognize the nature of your actions, your "hiatus" was not successful. Hint: apologize for the insensitive comments and move on. Stop trying to justify the unjustifiable.

Kaffirdog, Currently theirs an E-petition (for Uk residents only) that demands the UK goverment to scrap the dangerous dog act because it's outdated, and unfair.

Check it out, and if you or you know someone who lives in the UK to please sign this petition at http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/3376

Pitbull or not it's not right to kill a bunch of innocent puppies. It's something that the Nazi's would do. If the dog is raise correctly he/she doesn't have to live the rest of their lives with a muzzle on their face while their out in public.

Mystere, Why are you so focued on what I was doing during my absence from this site? Please stay on topic other wise I will have to report you to the mods/admins for highjacking the thread. If you have something against me please use the PM to express them, not here. Thank you :)

BSL has never successfully reduced dog bite statistics in ANY location. It's just some kind of odd revenge. It's the kind of thing people do when they feel frustrated and unable to effect change in any other way.

Italy used to have bans on dozens of dog breeds. People still got bitten, so they have scrapped breed bans. Same with several municipalities in CA.

Breed bans don't work. The "wrong kind of people" just get different breeds and mess THOSE up too.

This is something that you don't see everyday.

This is Leo, one of the Michael Vick dogs, now therapy dog!

This is what was written in the description on Youtube:

Meet Leo, one of the former Vick dogs, who has started his new life with Marthina McClay and Our Pack, Inc. a Pit Bull rescue in San Jose, Ca. Leo is the first and (to date) only certified therapy dog of the 50 confiscated Pit Bulls. He loves bringing smiles to others! Visit www.ourpack.org to read Leo's story and learn about Pit Bulls.

Here's another Pitbull therapy dog named Ruby

also written in the description:
Pitbulls always seem to get a bad rap, which Ruby doesn't deserve. She shines a great light on her breed! Just a clarification on RUBY THE SERVICE AND THERAPY DOG. She is BOTH. In November 2005 she received her TDI therapy dog certification. As the medical needs of her owner changed, Ruby went back to school and was trained thru www.puppyloveinc.org (service dogs). In February of 2009, she then received her credentials as a SERVICE DOG with proper id. Hope this clears up any confusion. Sadly, Ruby is now fighting Cancer. So to clarify, Ruby is DEFINITELY a SERVICE dog and does go into stores, ect.
