Sorry for your loss Melissa. I had a heinz57 years ago that also had DM. It's a sad disease, but mercifully not a painful one (except for us to watch).

She looks a treasure, and her expression so wise. Run free - whole again Bonnie.

Thank you guys. She had DM, coupled with athritis, enlarged liver and within the past 2 weeks a fast growing
tumor in her ear and was in pain without her Tramadol. It time, and the kindest gift we could give her. It would
be selfish not to because she gave us so many wonderful years.

She played a great part in shaping who I am as a dog person. You never forget your first dog. We were blessed
to have her.

Sorry for your loss Melba.  DM is a terrible disease.  I had to make the decision last fall for my big boy, his was a particularly aggressive form and it was difficult.  He has another playmate to have some fun with.
