Hello everyone,

I have had dealings with the 'Scammer' (aka Richard Clark) about 9 months and must say that my dealings with him were quite pleasant. At the time I was looking to purchase a GSD (preferably black) with good import lines. While I did not purchase a puppy from him, his e-mails and phone conversations were always professional and properly and knowledgeably conducted. I simply found another puppy that better met my needs and purchased it instead. I would not hesitate to deal with him in the future. Heck, I might even be interested in the 2 yr old female, and may be contacting him shortly.

FIRST OFF ALL IF I DIDN'T FILL OR COMPLETE EVERYTHING ASKED OF ME THEN WHY WHERE YOU SUPPOSEDLY ON YOUR WAY TO THE AIRPORT TO SHIP MY DOG? I DID EVERYTHING YOU ASKED AND THE CONTRACT WAS TO GET HER PAID BY THE 20TH OF AUGUST AND SHE WAS PAID FOR IN JULY IN FULL. PLUS YOU GOT 50 EXTRA FOR THE DOCTOR AND THEN 50 FOR GAS. SOME TIME AFTER THAT YOU STRESSED TO ME THAT YOUR BOSS WAS GOING TO BE AWAY FOR THE WEEK OF THE FIRST TO THE 5TH AND IT WOULD BE MUCH BETTER IF WE COULD GET EVERYTHING DONE THAT WEEK, SO I WENT OUT OF MY WAY TO HAVE A CRATE SHIPPED TO YOU BY THEN AND I BORROWED THE SHIPPING MONEY AND MADE FLIGHT ARRAIGNMENTS FOR THE 5TH, WHICH IN A TEXT YOU SAID THAT YOU WOULD NOT SHIP HER UNTIL YOU GOT THE MONEY FROM PAY PAL AND IN YOUR BANK. THEN YOU TOLD ME THAT PAY PAL PUT A HOLD ON THE MONEY WHICH HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ME BUT YOU PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT THEY TOLD YOU ALL THE MONEY THAT I PAID, NOT JUST THE SHIPPING, WAS ON HOLD. I CALLED PAY PAL AND THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH ANY OF THE MONEY AND THAT YOU HAD IT ALL, SO ANYWAY THAT IS WHY SHE DIDN'T MAKE IT TO THE FIRST FLIGHT AND IT WAS EXTENDED TO THE FOLLOWING FRIDAY, WHICH IS WHEN YOU HIT A DEER AND TOLD ME YOU HAD BEEN DRINKING AND WERE TRIPPING ABOUT THE COPS COMING. THAT IS NOT THE FIRST CONVERSATION WHERE YOU TOLD ME YOU WHERE YOU HAD BEEN DRINKING. THE FIRST TIME YOU SAID YOU WHERE DRUNK SITTING IN YOUR VAN. WHY IS THAT MY BUSINESS, I HAVE NO IDEA? SO SHE MISSED 2 FLIGHTS BECAUSE OF YOU, NOT ME, AND LOL ABOUT MESSAGES ON YOUR PHONE, THAT IS FUNNY. JUST THE OTHER DAY YOU SAID YOU WOULD REFUND THE SHIPPING MONEY, AS I TOLD YOU THAT I WOULD COME GET HER. YOU TEXT ME AND ASKED IF YOU SHOULD REFUND IT BACK TO BRITTANY ACCOUNT (DAUGHTER IN LAW ).IM NOT INTERESTED IN PAY PAL BUT THAT NOT YOUR BUSINESS. ANYWAYS YOU NEVER REFUNDED THAT SO I COULD GO GET HER AND ITS STILL NOT THERE. NOW I TOLD YOU ABOUT ME WHEN I WAS INTERESTED IN THE DOG AND YES, THAT I HAVE LUPUS. WHAT DID YOU SAY, "OH THATS NOT A BIG DEAL IS IT?". AND YES MY BEST FRIEND AND HER FAMILY HAS BEEN GOING THROUGH A TRAGIC THING. WHAT DID YOU SAY, "OH I GO THROUGH SHIT TO ALL THE TIME", AND STARTED RUNNING DOWN YOUR PROBLEMS. THE ONLY REASON I TOLD YOU IS SO THE SECOND SHIPPING OR FLIGHT DATE WOULD NOT INTERFERE WITH THE FUNERAL. YES I LOST MY TRANNY ON MY CAR , BUT AGAIN YOU DON'T COMMUNICATE OFTEN ENOUGH WITH ME TO ARRANGE THE SHIPPING AND SO AGAIN I TOLD YOU TO CONFIRM WHAT WOULD BE GOOD FOR YOU AND ME SINCE I WOULD HAVE HAD TO HAVE A RIDE, IF YOU WANTED TO DO THIS WHEN I DIDN'T HAVE MY CAR BACK YET. AND YOU ARE ONE TO TALK ABOUT THE THINGS IM GOING THROUGH YOU HIT A DEER WHILE DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE WITH TWO DOGS IN THE CAR AND MESSED UP YOUR TRUCK. YOUR LOOSING YOU PROPERTY BECAUSE OF SOME STUFF YOU WHERE MUMBLING, AND YOU STRAIGHT OUT TOLD ME IT DIDN'T MATTER IF YOU OWED ME MONEY BECAUSE YOU OWE A LOT OF PEOPLE. AND WHATS FUNNY IS YOU SAY YOU DIDN'T SAY ALL THIS BUT MOST OF IT IS IN TEXT. YOU NEVER SENT THE VIDEO OF HER THAT I ASKED. YOU NEVER HAD GOOD COMMUNICATION IN A TIMELY MANNER. AND COURT, WHAT DID I DO? PAY YOU FOR A DOG, SHIP YOU A CRATE, PAY FOR SHIPPING, GAS, AND A VET. AND GOT NOTHING IN RETURN. TRUTH IS, YOU WANTED TO MAKE MORE MONEY ON HER AND HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO SO. AS FAR AS ANY POST I HAVE EVER POSTED WITH ANYONE ON HERE HAS BEEN BUYER INQUIRY ONLY, NOTHING NEGATIVE OR DEROGATORY TILL NOW. SO DOUBLE CHECK YOUR TAMARAS, BECAUSE I AM TAMARA CALL AND MY USER NAME IS ABOVE AND THAT IS HOW YOU WOULD HAVE SEEN THE POST. I HAVE BEEN PLANNING AND HAVE BEEN VERY EXCITED TO GET MY DOG AND MY FAMILY IS ALSO. SHE IS AND WAS A PART OF US EVEN BEFORE WE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN HER. AND AS FAR AS OFFICER GOES, I NEVER TEXT YOU ANYTHING LIKE THAT AND AS FAR AS EMBARRASSING STUFF I AM NOT WORRIED. BRING IT. I HAVE EVER THING YOU HAVE. SO IF YOU MAKE UP STUFF, THAN YOU DO AND THAT ON YOU. AS FAR AS NOT POSTING THE NAME OF THE PERSON

UPDATE, this is my third attempt to get the dog i paid for under contract and i fulfill my end and more. Sat seller contacted me said he would refund my money and proceeded to ask me how much i needed to get Virginia to pick up my dog because he was strapped ? i told him more than i gave him for the shipping and that i wanted to have my shipping money refunded so i could make arrangements to get her since could not make it to the airport two different times. He said he would and confirmed how it would be returned. i made arrangements for someone to go get her (still no refund) when the receiver arrived he said that Mr Clark said he had no dog for me, crate? and that he would refund my money in his own dam sweet time. Now why would anyone do such a thing when the buyer has met all asked of her. its not like i just have the money laying around to spend i actually worked very hard to get that money as extra money to buy this dog went out of my way to get the crate to him and make every arraignment to suit Mr Clark. There is nothing he can come up with any different i have all the emails and text and receipts and phone calls and will be getting a written statement from my receiver.

Although there are a lot of things a good dog can help with, I suggest professional counseling for people with obvious mental health issues. A study I recently conducted found that an unstable home is not in the best interest of neither the dog nor the owner and will only lead to future problems for all concerned. In the study there is evidence that the mentally challenged person will lie, have tantrums, beg, then repeat the cycle indefinately.

I wish the best for TCALL and have a better understanding now why her current GSD have no aggression or drives whtsoever, i feel sorry for them and can imagine the stuff they have endured. Hopefully once her money gets back to her she can find a suitable dog on here to fix all her problems and not have to post a rip-off 3

Richard, I don't know you or the buyer, so this is just based on what I've read here. She may seem hysterical, but it also sounds like she's had a rough time lately. So, why not just send her money back and be done with it. You don't HAVE to stand on the principal of a non-refundable deposit. That way you don't have to deal with her anymore and she doesn't feel scammed.

I bought a GSD pup from Rick back in May of 2011 and had absolutely no problems during the transaction. He was shipped from VA to NY without issue. Prior to this purchase I did not know Rick.

He's knowledgeable, helpful and communicates well with me even after the transaction. We talk every week or two about the pups progress, among other things. It's evident to me that he cares about his litters and to whom the pups eventually go to. IMO, sounds to me that maybe it's best this 2 year old female stayed home in VA.

Panzer has an excellent temperament; a strong willingness to learn. I have already told Rick I will be back for another in due time.

In reality, why post this crap in the first place? Why bash someones reputation over a few misfortunes? You had your problems and he had his during the transaction. Occasionally sh*t does happen that is out of our control...and none of us can control the sequence.

Personally I feel if you're robbing Peter to pay Paul it shouldn't be to purchase a dog. Sounds to me that the prospective owner was in this situation. Bottom line: Don't buy it if you can't afford to feed it, or fuel it. :)

I don't know this Tamara Call and really don't care to from what I've seen. That's just my personal opinion from reading the on and on, CAPITAL essays. They have no structure and everyone knows a GSD needs structure. :)

There's nothing wrong with Rick or his dogs.

John Hale,

Again, I don't know either person and have no personal interest either way. I myself have been scammed and it is very upsetting. It's nice that you got such a wonderful dog from Rick and everything worked out well. You got the dog you were promised and that is what most people want who buy a dog.  Rick obviously breeds some very nice dogs and I do believe he is not a scammer, but a whole string of unfortunate things happened here. It is nice that you have come here to support him, BUT would you be ok with giving someone money for a dog and getting nothing? Yes, there are two sides to every story and stuff does happen, but Richard said he got the money and the buyer never got the dog. That wouldn't sit well with anyone on this board, if it happened to him/her personally, including you. I am sure of that. Also, where she got the money to pay for the dog is insignificant and nobody's business. JMO

I hope Rick will do the right thing.

I agree with you Char.

Bringing someones personal problems into this is tacky, and very unclassy.  If you have her crate or something that belongs to Tamara ( money or dog) Rick,  give it back to her.
No matter how many people you alert to this thread to put in a good word for you, nothing does it better than being a standup honest guy and doing the right thing.  There is enough grey area here to turn off many a puppy buyer.

by Panzer11 on 17 August 2011 - 21:08

I believe she'll get her money back in due time. I'm not going to speak for Rick but I believe Paypal froze some accounts due to this. If you've done any research on Paypal you know that when they freeze accounts they also screw with the checking account linked to it. The money may be tied up for a bit until they "investigate" which they take their sweet time in doing.

Most people have a Paypal account nowadays so why was the daughter-in-laws used in the first place? And, if the buyer didn't have one set up, why not do it for such an important purchase? Just a thought...

I think there's more to the Paypal thing than meets the eye is all I'm saying.

I also don't understand the need for the blathering original post. There were a series of misfortunes on the buyers side that delayed the shipment. Then, when it is a go, Rick hits a deer on the way to the airport. And she tweeks and posts that garbage? Gimme a break. Things occur. He was patient with her, she should have shown the same courtesy.

As for the mud slinging; I agree. It's unprofessional and uncalled for. It also is what it is. We're human and sometimes our emotions get the best of us.

I do disagree that where the money came from to pay for the dog is insignificant. I feel it's quite significant. If you're scronging money to purchase a quality dog, as an owner you have to ask yourself how am I going to afford to feed this dog quality meals. The dog then suffers because she/he is eating the equivalent of McDonald's bi-daily because it's cheaper and can be picked up at Wal-Mart....Sending more money to China. Opps. I just went there didn't I? :)

I kinda like this site.
