Yes I am sorry as well, the dog should have bounced out of its transport cage, pleased to see anyone...maybe it could have reacted aggressively too, but this can also be a sign of a nervous dog.

I presume you have checked that the dog is not suffering from any illness or injury, but  it does sound more like a  temperament issue.   I have seen quite a few dogs (show lines) that are very happy, lots of prey drive, do the protection test very well on their own training ground with no apparent temperament problems, so they could be filmed and look fine in a video,  but then they fail the courage test at a show.  This could be partly a training problem and lack of experience issue but mostly its temperament problem.  Very sorry.

It could be that in reality this Dog was  never a Lion and has always been a Mouse
