Nice thread, but why does every thread you make Randy have to have some brags about your or your dogs...
by Sheesh on 29 June 2011 - 22:06
Not to mention the expenses incurred. Campaigning and showing a dog seriously is not a cheap endeavor- driving or flights, hotels, entry fees, and competing in numerous schutzhund trials adds up as well, especially if you are traveling. That's not even including yrs of training with a group, and private lessons on top of that...

autobahn,
The only time I saw you post is in the other thread Making of a VA and on this one, both comments are the same, why are You Randy bragging about your dogs !!! are you jealous or what !!! If you have a dislike for Randy PM him and let's keep such topics clean.

I don't think Randy is bragging, but rather using himself as an example. You can have a VA dog and put forth effort into training, only to fail in the end. Many people refuse to acknowledge their failures, and choose to sweep them under the rug. This is a good topic, and may be very veryenlightening and educational for some like me, who are seriously working towards such a goal.

Randy, thanks for keeping it interesting around here and thanks to Zee for the first hand account.
autobahn, I agree fully with Ibrihim. If you don't like Dog1 posts, why read them. Penis envy?

Autobahn is entitled to his/her opinion and observation, just like everyone else. That being said, I feel compelled to point out to Autobahn that it took guts for Randy to even allude to the Renaldo /Universal Siege scenario,as he was raked over the coals, skewered and par-boiled for the declaration at the time.
It is a very good topic, so let's keep it with the dogs and dispense with the human references. :-)

Will admit that I'm confused... I thought that UNIVERSAL Sieger would be chosen from All countries, not that each country would have one. It seems kind of foolish to have "American Universal Sieger" etc... Love that there's a title using both Schutzhund competition and Conformation judging @ same event... but shouldn't the UNIVERSAL be from all countries??? Maybe I'm missing the point.

sure he is entitled to his opinion, just as we all are. but if it's a personal matter, then settle it on a personal level, not taking sniper shots behind a keyboard at every opportunity and trying to discredit threads started.
The OP makes no secret who he is. and I've seen him at events a long way from his home so he should be accessible at some point.
and that's just my opinion,

Windwalker,
The WUSV Universal Siege Championship was only inaugurated this year. USCA has had its title since the late 90s. I don't know whether that will continue, or the American Uni will be the winner of the championship to determine who goes to the WUSV will become the. UNI or not. There are two organizations holding their own championship, so probably not. It is becoming complicated. :-)
Dog1 is, I think, talking about the USCA Universal Sieger title.
There is no reason for countries not to have their own UNI, just as they have a national (trial) champion and a national Sieger. Why not?
