There may be room with the same transport volunteer from Los Angeles to Wisconsin again soon as well. Just because a dog is in a shelter in LA, and there are DOZENS of really NICE GSD's landing in those high-kill warehouses every single day, doesn't mean you can't rescue and adopt them.
We are transporting them all over the country. If you have room in your heart and your home for a dog that deserves another chance at life, most of them under 1-2 yrs old and many any one of us would have been proud to have produced from our own breeding, please step up. There are LOTS of them on my Facebook page every day, and lots of people willing to help get them to you. Owner surrenders, which is what most of them are these days, thanks to this crappy economy, can be PTS within minutes of their arrival at the shelter. The sooner we get them out, the better, even if you can just foster and re-home... That's HUGE for the dog!
Open your heart. Give a dog a chance.
