@kacey, that's a dog in your avatar. couldn't tell what that was at first, lol. Nothing against the dog, just couldn't make it out in the pic. No offense intended.

Absolutely no offence taken James. I'm actually glad my pic isn't that detectable (since this is a mostly gsd forum...I am scorned already).

I am on an Urban SAR team and many of our advanced certified dogs have bite work in their back ground. I personally have Sch. trained sar partners. The one thing we must remember is a SAR dog MUST be clear headed. All my dogs work in prey. My cadaver dog has had a good deal of bite work have never had a problem. All my dogs hold CGC's and or therapy certifications. I must add that any bite work was done under the instruction of a top Sch. competitor/ TRAINER. Many of my teammates are like wise with their dogs.
