Just curious about dwarf gsds. When (at what age) is it evident that a puppy is a dwarf? And, how do distinguish between a dwarf and a runt in a litter?

There was just recently another thread about Dwarfism--http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/bulletins.read?mnr=471497--it has a link to a very good article by Fred Lanting. I don't know enought about it to answer your questions. Hope this helps.
