i think thats a laying down pose with ear sideways looking like its up....either way he is gorgeous..but i see what you mean...ear up makes a world of a diference in his face..all of a sudden he is not cute little puppy he is a GSD..

Yes, it was just a laying down picture with his ears forward, because I wanted to see if I could post a picture from my iPhone. They are firm in the airplane position, looking strong that way. I won't use my magic powers until about 14 weeks, or so, all things remain possible, as far as the ears go.... I will say if bone chewing makes a difference, this dog chews bones and then some....!

He's doing about 30 lbs. for @ 13 weeks, now, I think. Not sure what he should be on according to any official growth chart. A bit squiggly to be still, to be exact. I would say his blue eyes are changing. His ears are not up, but they were doing different things today.
Ninja, my DH calls him a mini-tank. Feels very solid. Like yours, LadyFrost! LOL Mojo is good with him, but he has his devil-side.
. He is a bit passive-aggressive sometimes, I think. He led him out to escape the fancy gate we had, just because he knew he could. Then he led a foray upstairs into Riley's bedroom where their joined ranks persisted and got him up. Left me a present on my good rug. DH said he cleaned it, but honestly, not very well.
I did a redo.
I spend my mornings now outside with the dogs, sometimes they play nice, sometimes the brat is a head full of slime. Or Mojo starts to play dirty and delicately grabs his collar and starts to drag him around. I try to let Mojo settle the disputes, but come on, that was not fair!!!

And FYI, this pix is 1.1 MB, to upload anything larger... the editor would not accept it. More to come...

Thanks Bee!
wow...30 pounds.....soon Mojo will be out of his weight category ... he does sound like a mini - tank..LOL.. His eyes are getting a nice green tint, very pretty...and those paws are huge..(pict on a yellow slide) ...i hope his ears will stand up, do they come up at any time at all? His color is gorgeous!
I did not realize how appropriate name "Tank" is for our Tank...the boy took out 2.5 foot wooden side of the fence the part where gate connects/ locks onto, on a weekend. He was running w/ Bailey and she was going through the middle he was next to her and ripped that side of the low fencing right out...he pushes his way through everything, patio chairs too close to the table..no problem- he will push his way through it w/o skipping a beat...BBQ grill (thank god it was cold) in his way he just rammed it and moved it to get by....so...Tank it is...its like Dozer - we named him before we knew he was a digger, and he sure did a lot of excavations...makes you wonder thought if i named him "gentle giant" would he have lived up to that name?..LOL..

Okay, my weekly update. His adult coat is starting to come in. If you look carefully you see a darker swath appearing on his back, a more charcoal gray. His eyes are gold on the outside, and still a bit blue inside. No doubt they are changing. He is getting almost too big to hold! I'll get my son to weigh him later. He's conked out right now. LOL
He is so good about going to the door for potty. Even taught himself to bark at the door! Of course then he started doing it, because he was bored, lol, and of course I'd have to let him out. I can hardly get anything done in the morning until he and Mojo tire each other out.
He's so easy to train. He will sit, lay down, come, and I've got Riley involved and working on the Stay and Heel. He loves Riley's leftover cheerios, too. Has discovered jumping and climbing all over the furniture. In the process of are learning NO to that, lol.
Mojo is a saintly dog, still. He puts up with his bratty ways but loves to tease him into "follow me" with the toys. Here are some new picts:
