Susie, you are SO right !

by Gustav on 01 November 2016 - 11:11

Susie, what do you mean by the simplest rules?

by gsdstudent on 01 November 2016 - 12:11

I miss that the owners of these old lines did not have an internet to waste time on arguing the definition of ''is''

Why argue when Google has all the answers?

Ma was willing to name dogs and kennels. Im not seeing anyone putting out specific names fo modern dogs that are " just as good " as the past ones.

Bee
I only see Stelter Chase with 9 untitled ancestors in the first 3 generations.

Do we compare him to  Racker or Drigon ?

by beetree on 01 November 2016 - 14:11

Which one of them will go to the cupboard and choose a can a dog food and bring it to a boy child when they are hungry? Which one of them flips the water bowl when they are thirsty and it is empty?

The one that does that is the one we can compare to Mojo.

You don’t get it do you…Ma named HIS dog, a dog that barely anyone has seen and there is clearly no information on it. Any “pedigree analysis” that is being done by Ma (since I know it’s not done by you) is just affirming what it is he saw in his dog and also what he believes is valuable.

Since you value social aggression, I can’t name any dogs that are “better” in your eyes because I don’t value social aggression as a trait in my dogs and in the breed. I named Max ze Stribrneho Kamene as a dog that had plenty of social aggression for you. More than likely any of the other dogs I name would be BSP/national/world competitors and they’ll all get slammed by someone on here because they’re “points dogs” even though most people haven’t actually seen them in person.

In general, people are more than happy to discuss dogs of the past because it’s historic information and you’re not talking about a current dog. It’s not very socially acceptable to discuss a current dog, that someone might be trialing or breeding out there and not give that person the chance to defend their dog or give more in depth information than what is available through hearsay or videos. Plus…any negative commentary on a current dog can come up in a google search and might affect someone’s purchasing decision when it might not be true and might just be something written by an angry customer or a 1/1000 occurance.
