Thanks everyone. It was a great show for me. Ronaldo has met many expectations as a young dog. I'm satsfied with his abilities at this young age and feel he will just get better as he matures. Special thanks to Steve House for his work preparing him for the show. The Canadian show is known to have trial level helper work since the helpers are the same used in the trial. Steve has taken the time not only to prepare him, but do so with multiple helpers, multiple styles. Thanks for your efforts, they showed well.

Randy will Ronaldo be at the German Sieger Show? Also will he be in the USA for Stud in this year?

Hal, Ronaldo is a very unique dog. He is from a time in German Shepherd history where VA ratings were given to young dogs without progeny to justify the ratings. This was a problem to many breeders. Ronaldo is the product of one of two situations. He's either from a situation where placings and ratings were awarded by a cross section of judges that were unsubstantiated or political in nature or the judges recognized potential and Ronaldo is an example of the potential the judges saw in his father. There will be opinions both ways on this issue. The second situation is Ronaldo was born at a time in history where there was a movement to produce better working ability in the conformation line dogs and better structure in the working line dogs. Some of the best working ability found in the conformation line appears to be coming from Quartz. Ronaldo posses a working ability superior to the average conformation dog for his age. He is young, 2 years 2 months, not a finished product, He has his SchH3 and breed survey and has competed in an event know for trial level helper work. I believe this accomplishment is testimony to his ability and potential. Ronaldo posses a unique set of genetics to work with. He's one of the few that can say their father, grandfather, great grandfather were all world champions. He has tremendous pigment, a strong masculine head, and temperament desired from the conformation line and working ability desired from the working aspect. His structure places him in the first ring of the world championship. I believe Ronaldo is an exceptional representation of the promise the judges saw in his father and a dog that possesses the working ability breeders seek to produce the golden middle. The judges that awarded Ronaldo sieger at the WDA North American sieger show and the USA sieger show last year suggested he return to Germany. Ronaldo will be in Ulm this year presented in the work by Steve House and in the ring with his co owner Christoph Ludwig. He is a young dog without the development of the older more mature males in his class. This will not be in his favor. He may be judged what he is and a little of what he can be as he matures. We hope for the second and accept the first. He will remain in Germany for the breeders in Germany to access what they created if they desire. I'm working on a plan where he will be available here also.

Thank you Randy for that nice explanation of your dog. I like him very much and would love to get a breeding with him. I will be at the German Sieger Show and will be looking for him in the first ring. Best of luck to you and his other owners.
