Looks like fun : - )  I need to get our pool out for the dogs too.  Been busy busy busy though.  On vacation this week and have the biggest dog show of the year this next weekend.  Going to attempt the obedience ring with him too.  Let's see if he can NQ again!  LOL.

I am 63 years old, married with children, grandchildren and presently have 2 German Shepherd Dogs- Joss, aka Windswept's Somewhere in Time, and Missie T aka Windswept-Phenyx the Tempest. I am the Founder of the Degenerative Myelopathy Support Group, Heavens Gate (a cause of death database for GSDS) and The German Shepherd Dog Breed Betterment Registry, a health registry for GSDS and a frozen/chilled semen database for GSD stud dogs.  I served on the Health Committee of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America  and co-authored the 2006 Health and Genetics Bluebook. I have written numerous articles which have been published, pertaining to Degenerative Myelopathy, and an article entitled "The Littlest Gremlin" a story of life through the eyes of a 3 week old pup dumped into a kill shelter. I am hoping I can get "The Littlest Gremlin" published as a children's book to teach children that dogs are not disposable (Yes, it has a happy ending- its for CHILDREN) proceeds of which would go to rescue. I work closly with Dr Roger Clemmons, who has devoted his life to researching German Shepherd Dog Myelopathy. I have written a poignant, funy little book entitled "Things I Learned from my Dog" from which 100 % of the proceeds go to Degenerative Myelopathy research, which can be purchased through the DM Support Group website. I have promises to keep to my beloved Jack Flash, who I lost to Degenerative Myelopathy in 1998.

Jack Flash saved my life (attempted car-jacking), but I couldnt save his, so I promised, as I set him free, and he closed his eyes for the last time, that I would always watch over his kind. I fully intened to keep that promise.

Currently have 16yr old Labradore, 18yr old cat(the wifes'),  2 ferrets(oldest sons' but he can't have them in his apartment) and now also have his 4 yr old shep mutt female.  You may have read about my misfortune with Micah, a beautiful 19mo old pure bred(my logo) who recently died of a massive epileptic seizure.

Love dogs...especially GSD.  Plan to get another when Lightning(our Labrador) passes.  Will definitely be looking around then before I buy.
