Has anyone verified his # to make sure it's the same dog?  In this post there are 2 different numbers and conflicting discriptions on his behavior.  Maybe not the same dog!

I verified his number today- the first number was incorrect- it was the number of a wire haired fox terrier. The second number is the GSD, Soldier.

Thanks!  I just thought because of the conflict in his behavior.

Cant do anything today. Latest predictions show us on the worst side of the storm. The winds have already started. Looks like an 8 foot storm surge is a real possibility. That means yard could be gone, koi will die  (they are already acting stressed like they know something is up.) I will be lucky if house isnt affected. Oh the joys of living on the bay, right by the ocean... If anyone can work on this, Gwen Watson can take this boy. She is a friend of mine and you can find her page on facebook. She lives in Austin, TX. She just lost her boy Blade, to DM, so she would be a wonderful home.  Its not like having to get him across country. I have a friend in El Paso that could do a leg of the transport. He is 8 hours from Gwen so he and Gwen could meet halfway. His name is Bill Elliot and he lives in El Paso TX in case I cant be reached, someone could contact him. He is also on facebook. I can check in but I cannot be in the middle of arranging a transport with this storm barreling down on us, as I know I will lose  power.  am really really worried about what will happen, here.

There is a person who will take soldeir and the other 2 gsds in the Lancaster shelter. She lives in No California and if she can get transport for them, she will take all three.  I emailed them to post here, in case anyone can help her get the dogs to her. Dont have time to follow through. Winds have already started. Have to pack in case we need to get out. DH just went ballistic on me because in the middle of everything, I am still trying to save a dogs life.

Meanwhile, Gov Cuomo has gone a step further, and is allowing people to bring their pets to all evacuation centers.  This Gov has a HUGE heart! How many Gov's would worry bout the safety of people's pets! This is a first! He rocks!

Thanks, Lynn! We were just notified of evacuation orders but dont know where will will go yet or when. Neighbor down the block, off the water said we could come with Casey James, as long as he is crated. That way I could run home and have a handle on the PH of my koi pond, if it doesnt get innundated with salt water. If it does, thats all she wrote :( Of course, being down the block from the water, she could flood, as well. It just started lightly raining and its getting windy, but not bad, yet. Storm wont hit hard till middle of the night and flooding will start toorrow and be worse on Tuesday. Mass transit is shutting down tonight at 7 pm. The north shore of LI is already experiecing high tides and a friend who lives on the water there said the water is already up her lawn and just 2 feet from her generator. They dont have a seawall, though, which we have, which will buy us a few feet. Then, our house is up another 3 feet from the water level. No matter what- no insurance for possible damage. Bless the Govt of NY and LI for their pet policy, so no pets will have to be left behind. There are pet shelters set up, and in manhatten and the 5 boroughs, pets are allowed in with their people, so long as dogs aremuzzled and leashed, and other animals in carriers. How much you wanna bet someone shows up with their snakes.... LOL! Hey- I still have a sense of humor- thats a good sign, right?
