What is the point to all of this?

In my opinion a dog that is less vocal, ( like TYKE's example ) and more focused is more apt to bite for real ,,, the more showy the display, the less likely they are to really do much once the gate opens. :) Jmo

,,,the dog in the video looks like he'd bite out of pure frustration at being teased and provoked :/

,,,the point of this ?  Is to talk dogs,, :) just talk dogs :)))

What i see is probably a typical old fashion junkyard dog. Bred and raised for that purpose. Let him off the chain at night and he will demolish every thing that tread on his to territory.

In the past there was a demand for these high defense guard dogs whose job was to work alone. Today modern electronics took their job in this part of the world

This is a Romanian border police patrol dog , lots of stupid comments here , he's oready retired in this video , I've had pups out of him , this isn't a sport dog joke , real defense and aggression

I have two very different dogs that will bite for real in my house.

One is very defensive, with defensive aggression and can't be touched by strangers (which I seriously don't like) and the other one is very confident, social, outgoing, the very quiet type of dog. When I have a delivery guy at the door that knocks, he doesn't make a big fuzz. He will alert first, jump up and stare you in the eye.

When I open the door, no fuzz, just standing and sitting there, staring you down very quietly.
In work, he's strong, he shows his quality over and over again and helper wants him on a civil bite soon. Helper is out of the KNPV world.

The other, defensive dog, would be a liability.

This video was such a POS anyway, why even bother making comments...

99% of people here don't own nor have ever owned a real dog , they watch YouTube videos and become experts , worse is they give advice to other members .. post a video of your dog or shut it .. until you have a dog that's proven ( I don't mean ipo bullshit titles either ) then I don't wanna hear it

Long ago, I knew a dog that often behaved very like the dog in the video was doing. He WAS a (haulage yard) guard dog. He DID bite for real. He hospitalised a classmate of mine, on my watch. The lad threatened him with a half-brick. So he pinned him to a wall and bit his nose. First & last time he bit anybody. Sorry I cannot produce a video of this, it was in 1967. So, Shawni, you can take your insults and stuff them where the sun don't shine. Some of us have forgotten more about GSDs than you will ever get to know, let alone learn & remember.
