And dogs, what else is there!

One unusual observation: Every day, there was a copious amount of dog hair in the very first sink of one of the ladies' restrooms. Always in the same sink, always in the same restroom, always looked like the same dog hair [black guard hairs]. Wouldn't be there first thing in the morning, but by mid-morning it appeared. A mystery.
Are you sure it was dog hair????
Are you sure it wasn't the same hair and was just never cleaned?

Slam, weeellll, I'm pretty sure it was dog hair, but I didn't touch it or anything. It sure looked like a clump of black guard hairs, the right length to have come off one of the many black or bi-color dogs, or even from the Greater Swiss Mtn Dog service dog that was there every day. It definitely was NOT from a sable dog, that's for sure!
I am sure that it wasn't the same hair, simply because it wasn't there on my first visit to the spot each morning, but it was back again before noon every day. It was just weird.
Edited to add: Such are the things that catch the eye of one who is OCD & Asperger's.

Hexe, speaking of service dogs, did you or anyone else happen to notice the abundance of SDs in attendance? There were a couple who looked like they were actual working service dogs and I was happy to see them. Well behaved and acting properly. But I saw another one on a long flexi leash jumping up all over people walking by and zooming around booths getting tangled in everything. Another was dragging its owner all over creation, and on the last day someone had a large akita looking thing off leash roaming around with a SD vest on. Not sure if some people saw the Service Dog vests for sale at one of the booths and decided to bring their unruly house dogs or what, but that sort of thing really gets me going because there are people who actually do need and use service dogs. You know, the ones who may be there for something like blood sugar notification or balance, and act like a well behaved dog and stay by their owner doing their job. Not wildly bouncing around and certainly not off leash 20 feet away from its owner. Unbelievable. I wasn't the only one in my large circle of friends who gave those people the side eye.
Bathroom note: By mid-afternoon each day you really had to search for a stall in the women's room that had toilet paper left in it.
Stadium was beautiful and easy to get to, ice cream was delicious (we're at a stadium people, get over the price!), workers were very helpful. Spectators all were friendly. Parking was good. Very disappointed in the amount of people who left their dog's $hit on the ground in the parking lots, on the medians between the lots, and also at the hotels - where there are doggy bags and trash cans 10 feet away. Really disgusting. Set up for training for the teams who arrived from out of the country was evidently non-existent and it was a mad scramble for them to find proper training areas, especially tracking.

ahp, yes, there did seem to be a number of service dogs at the event, but in some respects it seems a natural fit, if the handler has an sincere interest in the training end of what makes a service dog.
Um, yeah, about that "...large Akita looking thing off leash roaming around with a SD vest on..."--
I am chagrined to have to acknowledge that the human half of that pair is a friend of my friend [the latter who also had her SD with her, a very well- trained & -behaved GSD bitch], and the Akita 'team' was with us on Sunday. Although I have to dispute describing the dog as 'large'--she's more of a miniature Akita at less than 40#--I fully concur with you regarding the off leash part, to the degree that the mutual friend and I BOTH jumped his sh** about it repeatedly the entire day. It REALLY torqued my friend off since she not only is reliant on a service dog herself, she's also a founding member of a small non-profit organization in Florida that is training retired racing greyhounds as service dogs and placing them with military veterans at no cost to the serviceperson, so she's especially conscious of the impression that allowing a service dog to roam off-lead like that makes on the public. The Akita in question, contrary to how it certainly would have appeared, is a legitimate service dog, and given the dog's advanced age [13] and waning eyesight and hearing I frankly was more worried about the little dog's safety than anything else--but unfortunately everything that was said to her owner fell on deaf ears for most of the day.
The fellow seems a nice enough guy, though I just met him that day so I can't say as I actually know him, but he apparently is a stubborn cuss when he gets his mind set.
I must have been very lucky every day when it came to the restroom roulette, then, since I never encountered a TP shortage and encountered a member of the stadium staff tidying up and refilling supplies on several occasions.
My sole complaint as far as the concessions went is that they didn't have any ice, but the gatekeepers allowed me to bring in my ice-filled cup from my morning McDonald's sweet tea so I could pour the tea purchased there over it, so that worked out OK. And can't complain about free parking, that's for sure.
