The one thing that Gina never did as some say a few dogs do , is to move around the helper barking? When she barked it was a strong consistent bark and she stayed on the spot facing the helper? the only things which moved were her two front legs as she barked. Some dogs Bark then stop bark again and stop some do the above and look around for the handler; Each time the dog changes its bark mode or looks around points are taken away. Gina decided not to bark when guarding say after the escape, She stayed silent and as i said it was a suprise. We then decided that she knew best so long as she was consistent? As it turns out She is silent as the night and just stares at the Helper totally fixed on him, There is no movement from her at all and she does not look around for the handler just fixed on the Helper, and as soon as he twitches she is on him and the bite is lightning fast and full. A dog who is barking can miss the bite or sometimes not get a full bite specially if it is moving around a bit. So that is it. The Points are given for a full excersise without changes and a full contact on the sleeve, When she takes her IPO 2 next month we will see

I'm sure the intensity she demonstrates in the guarding, and the full grips on the escapes, will outweigh anyone's opinion about barking. Good luck in the 2 Steve!

Hi Shelley
I am pleased you are settled and happy? The points she will be given will be the factor when she does her IPO 2. One thing is sure she will not miss time any bite; You can here her connect when she hits even on the escape, I hope to get a video done but people say they will then it goes flat nothing. I do know of a Guy who takes Photos etc at the big events i guess if i pay him he will come and do a Video of her Tracking , Obedinence and Protection but it will cost a days pay etc

Hi Steve,
I am doing fine, thank you, getting by ok here in northern California, rather poor but healthy and happy.
I know what you mean about getting people to video your dog working. You have to remind them a few times beforehand, and then right before its your turn to go onto the field, and still you're lucky if they get any footage you can use. LOL

I appeared in the shooting of a Public Television special on horse racing earlier this week. The film and sound crew took days of footage and audio. Hopefully, after the final edit, there will be an hour or two they can use. LOL
I wish I could send them your way!

Take care and good luck,
Shelley
