I agree with the one poster.  He did his time.  If you really want to complain about the NFL and their special treatment, atleast Vick got 24 months.  Donte Stallworth killed a man with his car while drunk and is only serving 30 days.  I understand this is a dog board, but I still put a human life ahead of a million dogs.

I am not willing to look the other way, he did  his  time,  let him alone. DO NOT PUT  HIM BACKIN  THE PUBLIC SPOT  LIGHT. I can only hope the other players are dog lovers, and "KARMA" gets him.

ron writes: did the crime...paid his time.....nuff said! The media perpetuated this whole Pitbull (poor dogs) craze! It is color blind folks. Look at the videos your kids are watching. Look on the streets and observe the number of Pitbull dogs or dogs that look like Pitbulls. Look in the pounds!!!! Vick is a product of the same media....When the TV and computer are raising your kids.......well you know!

I had the same knee jerk reaction, how the heck can they let him back into sports?  Gambling (illegal)  was an obvious function of the kennel he was running.  Pete Rose ect. were all punished severely for the same.  Here he is being let back to play.  Full re-instatment will be forthcoming.   Has he truely repented for his crime against the animals?   He should be ruined for life.

He may be,  there may well be a grass root effort to protest his games.  Time will tell.

I certainly hope if he gets resigned that local fans are outraged. A criminal should not be in the position of a role model.

One of my clients gave me a lovely t-shirt with a picture of Vick being violated by a rather large dog...I may need to start sporting it!

"I  would hope that whatever area he plays in someone would start a grass roots operation, and bring their dogs to the outside of the park that day (PARKING LOTS), and show their presence."

PETA and HSUS - the two most anti-pet organizations out there - are planning exactly this (because it will fill their coffers with money).

As for Vick himself, he was caught, he served his time, and because of that he needs to be allowed to go about his business unpersecuted.  What hope is there for any person who serves jail time to see that, even if you are punished by the law, serve your time, and get out, that the good people of America will continue to punish you?  What hope is there?  He did his time like any other convicted felon.  Now show the world that there is always hope if you straighten up and fly right.
