Angus is closely line bred on Orry (IT) and as such can be expected to excel in schutzhund, police K9, and any dog sport. Both Fargo Mariko Bohemia (sire) and Eva vom Mystical Haus (dam)are very sweet and handler focused dogs which would also make Angus a good candidate for an active family who needs a family protection and active companion dog. | German Shepherd Dog | Nara vom Mystical Haus | Nara is 17 months old and weighs 55 pounds. She is overweight for her size and would be in good condition at 50 pounds. Nara looks a lot like her mother Crow. Nara has been on antibiotics for 2 1/2 months and she is doing better. Nara had stains and pitted enamel on her teeth from a vaccine reaction. She had plaque and gum disease accompanied by bad breath. Nara also showed signs of advanced kidney disease on a previous vet appointment and lab tests. Nara has had cephalexin, cephalexin plus ampicillin, cephalexin plus doxycycline, and doxycycline alone over the time period since her lab tests showed poor kidney function. The antibiotics have improved her teeth and breath as she now has reduced plaque and gum disease with cleaner breath. Her kidney function seems improved as she drinks and urinates much less than before. Nara has more energy and feels better than before she started taking antibiotics. It is not clear what we are treating Nara for but it seems to be working. I will keep Nara on doxycycline for another month or two and then try taking her off of the antibiotics. There are a number of diseases that are treatable with the antibiotics which Nara has taken. Diseases or disease complexes both known or unknown may be the source of Nara's problems. There was a period of about 10 years after the discovery of Lyme disease that vets said dogs couldn't or didn't get Lymes disease .. they were wrong. New types of diseases and new strains of known diseases pop up all the time. Sometimes you just must try something until you find something that works. .... | 12.2 years ago |

Her mother Bella is very protective of her human family and I expect Berry to be similar to Bella in both her physical presence and protective instincts. Berry has no issues with dogs or cats and adapts quickly to new surroundings and situations. | German Shepherd Dog | Nara vom Mystical Haus | I should add that I don't think any of the problems that Nara has with her teeth or kidneys are the breeder's fault (Mystical Haus Kennels). She was just following the standard protocol for puppy vaccinations. The vaccine companies pretend that vaccines are perfectly safe when they are not. Over use of vaccines is very dangerous and can lead to both short and long term health problems for your dog. Leerburg.com has a lot on vaccination. Five, six and seven way vaccines are to be avoided. Weak puppies and dogs that are over vaccinated are at greatest risk. Highly inbred dogs may have an overly aggressive immune system which will react to vaccines causing long lasting health problem. | German Shepherd Dog | Perla Neresnicka Dolina | Actually Perla's hips were done (OFA) at 30 months of age after she had her first litter and she was in heat when the vet did the x-rays. Yes hips do change between 1 and 2 years and that is why I am suspicious of any SV hip score shot at 1 year ( they almost all are ). So if you are breeding based on the SV hip scores they are not going to give the same result as OFA or PennHip at 24 months. Both OFA and PennHip both show best correlation of predicted hip development and actual results at 24 months or more. | German Shepherd Dog | Nara vom Mystical Haus | Nara is 20 months old and having her first real heat period ever. A long course of antibiotics (doxycyline) helped her health tremendously. Nara is feeling and moving better than at any time I have had her. Whatever was wrong with Nara seemed to be linked to some infectious agent susceptible to doxycycline ( 90+ days of treatment ). I have tried everything and the only thing that helped Nara was doxycycline treatment. The tooth staining was due to a vaccine reaction to the DPv vaccine but it was most likely made worse by an infection that caused her immune system to attack itself when the vaccine was given (vaccines given to sick puppies can kill). Nara never appeared to be all that sick but never grew or developed normally so she was sick even as a puppy but undiagnosed. .... | 12 years ago |
