Hi Jennifer.

It is a good start....by going to shows, many of them, you will begin to see quality dogs...not all dogs at shows are show quality...so beware. The link about gives you a very good starting point....not all dogs have all the good points we are striving for. As a breeder, you hope to get many of the good points, with as few of the bad ones as possible.
