catchy header "CZECH/DDR at Stud" ad did nail my attention.
ad
among other qualities and advances for that stud dog, have been mentioned "Thick bone, nice pigment, he has full and hard bite".
i never give priority to color so i'm not an expert onto dog color and pigmentation but even after hard try to detect "thick bones" in construction of that dog i finaly gave up. same can be said in regard of "hard bite". configuration of size/shape of dog's head to a mouth/jaws obviously not the one to provide powetful bite.
anyway, to investigate where all that come from i went to dog's pedigree
that turned out to be a pretty good visualization of ignorant selection for matings in just 2 generations on paternal and 1 generation on maternal side.
interestingly enough, all that was done on this side of pond by american breeders, who's definately produce the dogs not for what these dogs are woth itself but for piece of paper, which changing the hands during sale.

You sure seem to have a dislike for anything DDR Valik. Is there any of them dogs that suit you. What dog lines are tops in your eyes. I am truly curious.
If you could have any. German Shepherd, past or current, who would be your dog,,?

not long ago i did have private conversation with member in here on how to sustain through generations of dogs the certain qualities and traits.
the point of this topic isn't about my likes or dislikes. it's about how easily just in 1-2 generations the illiterate breeders can destroy decades of work in development and accomplishment, achieved by previous serious breeders. unfortunately crappiness in breeding today prevailing.
my personal preferences are german shepherd dogs, iregardless of background and location but not the travesties, positioned as a GSDs.
