We are begging for help to save these furbabies, we want to say No-Kill.. Ask about available sponsorship!

·       Raleigh County Humane Society open Tues - Saturday, you can begin to call ~8:30am,   **If rescues would like to go to the shelter and pull on Sunday or Monday, this can be accommodate with advanced notice

This is the second of three owner surreders to my local shelter. He needs a GSD expereinced home or a rescue who can place him in one or with a trainer. The owners said his name is 'Brutus' but I call him Baccus.He's quite large and a very pretty boy... most likely considered an 'oversized coated' GSD that some people breed. I took him home to foster the second day he was at the shelter. He has a soft spot for hot dogs and it took him 3 days of greeting him with hot dog treats before he decided I was to be trusted. He stares intently at people's faces and now has started showing aggression if they look back at him. He did growl and try to snap at one teenager in my neighborhood. I get along great with him now, but it seems the more bonded he is becoming to me the more possessive he is getting and does't want anyone coming near us. . On walks around the neighorhood he is suspicious of people coming up behind him and is extremely intent on watching kids playing or any activity around him. With me he is a gentle pleasant dog and is easy to handle for the most part on leash but his behavior is worrisome to me as I"m not experienced in behavior modification of this type  . . He can also climb over a 5 foot chain link fence so needs a secure enclosure he's not able to climb out of. He is a very pretty
