This beautiful girl was an owner surrender at the Raleigh County Humane Society Shelter in Beckley WV. She has been terribly neglected in both body and mind. . . she's very docile and pleasant, though it's obvious she's had little attention or love. If anyone can help this poor girl please contact the shelter Contact info listed below. They are trying to maintain a no kill status but are in critical need of moving animals out as they are way overloaded and the least adoptable dogs could be at risk ... something has to give as they are busting at the seams. Koda came in with two other GSDs and I am fostering one and the 3rd was having significant fear aggression issues  when he came in. Hoping the staff has been able to help him overcome this. He is a beautiful sable also, 5 yrs old and looks VERY much like Koda. Please... can anyone help this lovely senior girl...

We are begging for help to save these furbabies, we want to say No-Kill.. Ask about available sponsorship!

Does anyone know how she is with other dogs, especially females?

I am not sure how to read between the lines on "obvious she's had little attention or love."   Does this translate that she can be resource protective or just simply stand offish?

What would sponsorship entail (regular food, fostering, monetary donations)?

I saw her  again yesterday and she' s really coming around and is being very friendly and wanting attention. Right after she'd come in she was extremley passive and non reactive to everything and everyone, . . . no interaction with anyone. I was pleasantly surprised how much she'd opened up . . . she was in heat when she came in so not sure if they've done any direct dog testing with her. . . she lived with two other neutered males GSDs where she came from. She has hair loss and they are leaning towards it being a bad flea allergy. It would be helpful if they would do a skin scaping to check. . If there is anyone who is able to help her in any way please contact the shelter. They do everything possible to help these dogs find homes and are great to work with.
