On Tuesday, 2/2/10, a resident of Indianapolis found what appears to be a full-blooded Dogue de bordeaux running loose. He brought the dog to the local humane society. The dog has a 15-digit microchip, but it is not registered in any of the U.S. databases we have checked. We are wondering if the dog could be registered in Europe as I've read Europe uses the 15 digit microchip numbers.

So far 24 hours has passed and no one has called the humane society looking for this dog. It is possible it was lost by someone traveling or perhaps stolen in another state. Or maybe some uncaring person just let it go. But, I'm an optimist and I'm hoping someone, somewhere is looking for this dog.

Any ideas on how to check a 15 digit chip number with someone in Europe? Or any resources I should post to that might help me find the owner of this dog?

Any information, please feel free to email me at batmanmom@gmail.com

Thanks!
Connie
