Duke:  "Joan, if a dog fails a test, it wont end up in my kennel,so if its not good enough I will not recommend it to anybody, however there are many dogs I tested and rejected that were sold to clients in USA by owner unseen, for silly prices and crazy shippingprices on top of that

and most dogs that pass for LE are non pedigree dogs anyway,"

Yep. All that you just posted I am aware of because you have made that clear in the past. Unlike koots, I don't believe that you collect dogs as a broker to peddle world wide. You have made it clear that you test dogs for a specific purpose, and quality.
Registry does not make the dog, I agree. A friend of mine bred a bitch he got from me to a malinois he owned and sold a bitch from that litter to a PD. She is working on the streets as a dual-purpose dog and has already earned her keep. By the same token non- titled does not make the dog. I sold two gsd pups, non-titled parents, to England for le and they are doing great.

Duke: "Joan, in todays world, kennels dont sell rejects to brokers anymore, they put them on PDB, working dog and facebook themselves LOL"

There are people in this country who collect junker dogs to sell to uninformed buyers.
But yes, pdb is loaded with what you described. I don't do fb, but I'm sure youre correct.

@Joan
Which Police force in England did you sell your pup's to. Would be interesting to check them out.

@Brady Bee

In England can you really just go check a dog out? In the US many departments would find it highly suspicious, unless perhaps you were actually the breeder or former trainer.

With my connections, yes indeed I can .

Koots

Regarding the dogs sold to LE in England - many departments have websites or FB pages where a member of the public can follow the dogs - it's a PR thing for the department.

And NO, I do not get anything from Duke for promoting his brokerage, but I will also not get shite from a potential buyer for recommending him. In fact, several people stateside whom I contacted about Duke's brokerage dealings had nothing but good things to say.

Koots, nobody said anything derogatory about Duke...but your pandering is hillarious.

Haha, I was wondering how long it would take for you to come after me personally.... this is me henceforth putting you on 'ignore'.

Joan, go back & find my very first post here ever. Luckily my radar went up & I duckduckgo'ed. Which lead me to find the seller listing here had already been banned from here. I was brave & spoke up, causing the seller to be banned again. I have no idea if he has come back under yet  another name.

In response to this happening to me, more than one person here did come forth & state Duke1965 is a very reputable person to use to find a dog.

After almost having been totally scammed, it is very good to know of those that can be trusted.  Only by persons making recommendations will we newbies or less experienced folks ever (safely) learn.

TWC, a forum like this will have good people and phonies....phonies who have no idea about things, but will comment on every topic to sound important.
Best thing to do is get on a plane and go see the kennel in person.
