Some dogs with known good hips and elbows have recently been returned from the SV dysplastic. If this has happened to your dog. You may want to check the results again.

There is an appeals process and at least one of the dogs recently graded dysplastic was done so in error and received á'normal on both hips and elbows after appeal.

Interesting. I have a friend who has a 4 year old dog who the SV marked as having not-passing hips. She recently did OFA films on him and he came back OFA Good at about 48 months. I wonder if she could appeal.

They failed my dogs elbow I can't find a vet who says anything is wrong with them. I'll gladly post pics

Out of the "Zuchtordnung":

This is the translation, thanks to Fred Lanting:

An objection against the first finding can be entered at the studbook office within a time limit by 6 months after the decision has been made. Only the person authorized to sign (owner or his agent) is authorized to objector appeal. Expert authorities are made available by the SV headquarters upon request. For these experts, twonew radiographs of the hip joints are necessary: one with legs stretched out [while the dog is lying on its back] and one with upper thighs vertical (at 90-degree angle with the torso). These films may be prepared only by anapproved university hospital. The expert authorities used are officially accepted as having made a conclusive, definite, final finding. Objections are impossible. The costs are at the expense of the applicant.

All of this is not new, but part of the Breeding Rules for years.

Queen Anne is dead too, y'know.

I see the rule covers the hips. What if you wanted to re submit the elbows?

It´s the same.

Faults very seldom do happen, almost always we do accept the results.

Just because we accept the results doesn't mean there are no faults happening.
