Can anyone down there help this poor boy? Mix-Breed my sainted grandmother's butt! He could  easily be a dog many of us would be PROUD to have bred or imported, sold for a small fortune to someone who talked a good story. Now he's waiting to die in a filthy run not far from Panama City for reasons known only to the assholes who betrayed him.
He doesn't have long.

Oh and Petfinder uses "Mix" on all their dogs now due to legal reasons.

Excellent. Even if we could get someone to go find out more about him, get pix/video, maybe test his temperament... anything would be helpful. I don't know a soul down there, but I'd bet my hat I know his bloodlines, and likely where that dog came from. If I could, I be at the shelter door when they open in the morning. Surely there is somebody out of the thousands of people on this message board who gives a ----, cares enough to get involved. Its only one dog, but what a dog it is.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Starcharr is in Florida. I'll shoot her a PM, and see if there's some way she can help. Breaks my heart...his eyes look so dull, like he's given up hope!

I cannot even imagine what kind of life he has known to have that kind of hopeless look.

"He could  easily be a dog many of us would be PROUD to have bred or imported, sold for a small fortune to someone who talked a good story."

Why?  Because he's a dark sable?  I've been in GSD rescue nearly 10 years.  The huge majority of purebred GSDs that are in high-kill shelters are there through no fault of their own.

If I had the room and the time, since I live in Florida, I would take him in a heart beat.  Don't think it is fair living in a rental house.  These are the times I wish I had my own home and the room to help in this type of situation.  Give me the specifics and I will see if some of my county SAR and K9 team may be able to help out........  Mindhunterk9@gmail.com
