Vom Brunhaus

Anyone have any experience with this brand of canned meat dog food? Also their dry gravy mix? Distributed by Wal Mart and inexpensive.

OK.... Maybe they are serious..... Maybe there was an incident and they want to know if anyone has had the same issues. There are a lot of loose ends with this question. Don't bash before you know exactly what is going on. People come here to "learn". Why don't we educate them to be better owners.

Vom Brunhaus, what exactly do you want to know about this food.... And why?

There have been many topics about this dog food and other brands. This dog food WOULD NOT be fed to my dogs!

All you have to do is go to the SEARCH MESSAGEBOARD and type in Ol Roy.

Some dogs do okay on it, but Ol' Roy almost killed my first GSD.  I wouldn't use it for anything at all.  Bad stuff, worthless stuff...

Inexpensive isn't the word..CHEAP is.  Just my opinion, but about the worst dog food out there.  Might as well feed your dogs potato chips.

Sorry, but I feel pretty strongly about this.  If you are going to go cheap, use anything else, please.  Not that.

I am not saying Ole Roy is the food to feed..I don't think its the best....But in regards to dog food in general, You gotta feed what works for the dogs......Its not always about buying the most expensive food that means it will be the best for the dog....

I have fed Ole Roy to the strays that hung around until animal control could come get them. They seem to put weight on and do good on it....WHat do you think the animal shelter and rescues feed all the rescues..I am sure they don't feed the "Expensive" food, and those animals do good on it....JMO

FEED WHAT WORKS BEST FOR THE DOG...if its Ole Roy, than feed Ole Roy... Not everyone can afford the big name brand "Expensive" food....And just because they can't afford it, doesn't mean they are not worthy of owning a dog...JMO

Corn is not what is best for any canid.

Yes, they can survive on it.

But I think most dog owners want their dogs to thrive, not just get by.

One word for all of those who are skirting the issue,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,menadione, actually one word and an acronym, BHA.  Stop being a politically correct pantywaist, caring for a dog is not a game.
