JOZOLLI

Congratulations to everyone involved in the organisation and running of the 2008 British Sieger.

It was a most enjoyable show - though to be perfect, could we photographers have been given a few minutes to snap placed dogs as we were last year instead of the hustling which made this year a bit frenzied????

To those who chose to speak of 'fixes' and come her only to defame and cause trouble I would like to make a couple of points...

WHERE WOULD YOU LOT HAVE FOUND YOUR VA's???

THANK GOODNESS for Nikki Farleys two champion males - I saw NO other VA male at the show. What a devastating blow if GB couldnt manage to rustle up even one VA for our historic come of age!?

I too would have given Yago the title, and agree his ear was the same at the start of the class, and in fact better towards the end as he settled and moved more smoothly.  I couldnt for the life of me see why Colin went up.  BUT either way - the best two males of the class were at the front - and for me, the one VA should have been Yago, but I would have found 2 perfectly acceptable either way around.

In females I thought the open class was disappointing - when females such as the imports Brenda W'land, Demi Santamar and of course the homebred females such as Xambi, and the titled gayville, tramella and conbhairean females could have been pitted against each other (to name just a few) - I thought the class could potentially have been thrilling.  As it was however the two best females again were on the front, and fittingly both recieved VA titles.

The UK has achieved what it set out to with this Siger I think.  Home Bred VA animals - a display of well run and well recieved schutzdeinst - and an organised sieger show layout with sieger style criteria and judging.

The entry was perhaps not as strong as in previous years - but the show was as good or better.

There will ALWAYS be the pessamists, the jealous few, the old-stick-in-the-muds, and the other assorted negative characters on this database... BUT... there will also be the progressive teams and progressive breeders and progressive enthusiasts who DO wish to better the breed and actually ENJOY watching quality shows, judges and dogs.

AGAIN - congratulations to all those involved organising and exhibiting.  I look forward to 2009!

Excellent show, congrats to the VA's and ALL exhibitors, well done to the hard working committee.

Absolutely agree with Linda B's comments about the back stabbers, one of the puppy bitches was nearly not shown again after some nasty vicious comments made about her after a win at an open show this year, nearly lost a genuine hard working lady from the breed because of this totally unecessary practice.

Look forward to next years event but next time committee, dont forget to order the sunshine!!

Hi Jozolli

wow, yes that could have been some open female class, with all those lovely ladies against each other, but most have nothing to prove, lol, but what a site it would have been!!

Linda sorry thought your husband was called Kevin, I did know he was grumpey and bad tempered, as he seems quite reserved when I have spoken to him.
