What about the females? Surely, there must be some news as they run the females before the males.
Also, did the VA#9,and#10 males present progeny groups to determine their ability to produce,as outlined in the amended rules for inclusion in the VA group? Just curious, not trying to start a flaming war!

Congratulations to ALL the dogs and their owners/handlers for their success at this year's BSZS!!

Cheers!

I'm so happy that Godalis Tino gets his VA status because his is bred in the UK!

A shame to see the true Siegers missing from the listings, I am sure the why's and wherefors will come to light, so many rumours floating around, it is hard to know the truth, apparently quite a few pulled their dogs, could this judge in question be the cause I wonder?. As most of us thought without Quenn and Zamp, Vegas would take top spot and sure there he is, well done Vegas. Ok so Furbo's bite work was not great but what a wonderful dog and deservedly VA along with Tino, another fav ( a little bias on my part due to our boy Dino). Nice to see Nando in there, it seems Meyer has a thing about his size but he's still there albeit VA11.  Odin is another beautiful boy and a great VA2, although I am upset as I am sure are many Quenn fans, it is a Siegershow with alot of questions hanging over it.

Best wishes

Tara

Thanks for the results for females!

Zamp was pulled from the show because one of his ownersHerr Woener who is judging at the show and it would be against the rule if he did compete. But I think he should be as Herr Woener is judging one of the female class but at the end of the day I'm not the president of the SV.

I saw Vegas last year in the 07 Sieger Show, with a HUGE progeny group then already and the RED on that dog will floor you when you see him in real life.  His Progeny group was superb too, so I can only imagine what it was like today in the Progeny Group presentation.    He no doubt deserved this VA1

As I already expected would happen when I posted in the other posts.  As well as the other dogs I mentioned would go VA.  My surprise is with Panjo,  SG1 last year, but he is young and his progeny group was likely too small to proof himself a VA  this year.  He will be back next year no doubt moving up his rank.

S. S

Firsty i  for one am no idiot,

and i do not care if it is a Dog show or not, if a phase is introduced then marks should be awarded for a proper job, if that job is not correct then marks  should to be deducted, otherwise there is absolutley no point in having that phase included in the programe ,and just do what else they do to come up with a Show Dog winner,

of course it is not expected they come up to a ScHh Dogs standard but if you do a phase which is in a ScHh sport then rules say marks are deducted for faults in protection so marks must be taken off you cannot have it both ways

If this is not the case then why be so strict on conformation or anything else the judge looks for in a show dog

Let me put it this way. the Dog we are talking about may get a higher mark for conformation and whatever they look for in a Dog, say then i too have a Dog in the same Class, my dogs conformation is not quite as good as the the dog in question but the protection element of my Dog is way above the dog we are talking about, So' if the protection phase is not so important that means my Dog will not win the class in front of the other one who messed up Protection but has a little better conformation etc

Steve
