My husband and I were debating on the dates of the first dog show in the USA I said around 1884 when AKC was started but he said earlier then that.

Then big mouth :) ask when the first ScHH trail in germany was held and who won it?

and the first ScHH trail in the USa and who won it?

I don't know so if anyone could help me out on this I would be greatful

Thanks

First US SchH trial- 1970 in California.  Good luck finding more info on specifics.

First German SchH trial-1901-my guess the winner would've been progeny of von Stephanitz' foundation male- Horand von
Grafath (Hektor Linkrshrein) since he was purchased by Stephanitz in April 1899 as the perfect male-would've been in the time frame since it's also the time frame when the German SV was founded.  Horand's most famous son was Hektor von Schwaben born in 1898 and was 1900-1901 Sieger, so I'd guess it was he considering Stephanitz was the judge at that time. Maybe others  on here know more, tho.
