Does anyone know anything about the Tiekerhook Kennel and in particular...a dog named? Rambo van Tiekerhook?

not too much, except it's a "familiar" name - took a look at the pedigree - These (I believe) are serious working lines -- talk to somebody like Ed Frawley about lines like these.

They have a reputation for having exceptionally nice working dogs. I had a litter 9 months ago out of a dog with some Tiekerhook in him. The whole litter has awesome working drives and great personalities. Can't say that this is all due to those lines. I have not heard anything negative about them.

Rambo is one of current stud dogs and from what I hear he produces some nice dogs. I was going to get a pup out of him recently but ended up getting a pup elsewhere. I do have 2 Tiekerhook lined bitches and they are a little slow to mature. You get mostly nice comments on what Tiekerhook produces but some are against their current breeding program since it is bred heavily on Fero Himmelreich. Otherwise they have produces some nice working and police dogs here (US) and abroad.

I own a Kuran Van Tiekerhook Grand daughter. Very nice so far, tons of drive, excellent nerves.

Hi there, Another Tiekerhook owner here. You can check out my male at: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/410477.html He is certified through the State of Ohio as a Police Dog. As you can see by his pedigree, Father's side all Tiekerhook. I bought him at the age of 2, in which he had been worked in Police work but I bought him for Personal Protection as I was not a Police Officer yet. With his lines, I'd say he matured fast/normal. For a two year old, the only immature thing he did was second guess anything that was not in it's respected place. He out grew that by 3. If you read the comment I added on him, you'll know how much I truely respect my boy. I have heard that Nick(a stud dog at Tiekerhook)MAY throw bad backs, but not sure exactly. So, all that I can say is the many Tiekerhook and Tiekerhook descendants I've seen are wonderful dogs. And the thing with Fero...no matter what dog a person linebreeds on is going to get crap and good. It works both ways. My boy is 3,3 on Fero and Eichenluft German Shepherds uses Fero too...no problems w/ her dogs or mine. Like I said, crap and good comes out of any dog, even when line bred or not. I love Fero, he produced very well and then not...like ALL other great dogs. Hope this helped. If you need more info. on Rambo, post here, as I have connections with finding info. about Tiekerhook dogs. Brandi

Friend had a Rambo Tiekerhook daughter and she is the UGLIEST bitch I've ever seen. She's young and may mature to a more "typey" look, but at 1 1/2 years old, she's horribly ugly. BUT, she's got good drives, solid nerve and works well.
