Maybe you must buy Winner, I had a litter fromm him, he produces perfect heads, strong pigmentation, and also

perfect shoulders, no matters the bitch has the upperarm not well inclined.

Regarding Agassi i saw the tremendous bitework he has last year, he has better angulations than his father.

And newly the owner, and since Frank Foldlust has he Agassi is going to up and up, so you nare right there are good dogs with very bad owners, (maybe Nick Moorbeck?) AND NOT BETTER DOGS WITH FINEST OWNERS, BETTER i DON´T SAY A NAME OF SOME DOG JAJAJAJA

JOZOLLI

The dog was V2 under Herr Meyer in a HUGE class just before the sieger show and looked superb.

I have wondered often why he seems not so 'in favour' with breeders.

BUT!!!   Where are his progeny?  Is there a reason hes not being used much?

A cracking male, we'd love to use, but such a big unanswered question.

I keep getting cut off before I can type my question. Can anyone tell me (Mr.GSD@juno.com) what the e-address is for Winner Assaut’s owner? I heard that he died very recently of bloat/torsion. Fred

 Spinerau,

PLease clarify what you mean about Kalli. He is a fine dog!

Mr.GSD... If you check his comments section, there is mention of a July 10, 2008 death.  Maybe this is where you "heard" about it in the first place.  Anyway....

I heard somewhere that this dog just recently died of Bloat. I could have him confused though. Can anyone confim this?

Someone earlier gave the answer to why Winner was not shown in the Sieger Show. He was indeed listed in the catalogue as Number 1021. However, he was not presented for protection work.  What is interesting is that nowhere in the results is he listed as being excused. In any event, according to those who saw him do bitework, he was not presented for protection work because, after barely passing last year, his owners, after assessing his bitework immediately before the show, did not think he could pass. Last year, he hung on the sleeve, and was lucky not to have received Vorhanden because the work certainly was not Ausgepragt  Of course, the Sendziks are not going to tell you this.

But those in their and the neighboring Landesgruppen who bred the most to Winner will tell you that he transmits this lack of drive to many of his offspring. Further, there is the stop problem which he has and transmits. This comes from his great grandfather Dux Valcuvia, via his father Quantum Arminius, whose stop is not all that good. Although some of Dux's great grandsons---Zamp is an example---have good stops, many do not, especially if the mother line does not.

It may be that Winner beat Nando in some local show, but for my money you cannot even begin to compare Winner to Nando conformation wise or in any other way---especially in bitework. Nando has strong fight drive. Too much, maybe, he did not out in 2006.

Gertrude....Are you saying that Winner is in fact alive and well?

by Gertrude Besserwisser on 23 July 2008 - 19:07

To the best of my knowledge, Winner vom Assaut was alive at the end of June, 2008. I do not know if he has died since then. Certainly you could find out by contacting the Sendziks who live in Much or anyone else in their Ortsgrupp or Landesgrupp. It would be widely known. I could make the call, but the price of it is not worth it to me, since I have no great interest in him alive or dead. There have been a great many rumors about him, most untrue. About the time of the 2007 Sieger Show last year, it was put out that he had been sold to China. Later it was said he was in the Tierkrankenhaus during the Siegerschau and then later yet, when asked if Winner was in China it was said he was at home with his owners in Much.

I also have heard he died July 10th of bloat. He was a beautiful dog but as stated...he passed on his lack of drives. I had  son of his who wouldn't play with anything and still has ears down at 15 months old, and much too large. He was sold as a pet. He is absolutely gorgeous though....
