Nah, Romney messed up Ohio by claiming Jeep was moving all jobs to China plus his flip flopping on the auto bailout. BUT stranger things have happened look at GWB being re-elected, now that was strange.

I mean come on the Republicans claiming pregnancy by rape is the will of God, give me a break. Flip/flop over and out until after the election.

There is plenty of Government going on the USA. The Government awards the contracts to the contractors, usually by some kind of bidding procedure.

And yes, the vote will go on no matter if there is power for voting machines or not, as the law does not provide for a postponement. It will be the registrar of Voters in each town and city to be prepared for this, which includes handcounting, should it come down to that.

And you are correct that the USA elects their president through a system called the Electoral College. It is a system where each state is awarded so many votes based on their population size. The majority voters of that state determine if all the Electoral college votes go to one candidate or another.

In order to become president of the United States, a candidate needs 270 Electoral College votes.

GSDAdmin, one idiot made that comment about rape, yet you assume it is every Republican. Talk about ignorance!

Thanks beetree, in the news they say Obama secured 139, Romny secured something like 91. Frankly speaking I am pro Obama, I think he's highly educated on foreign issues and he's sincere while Republicans are dangerous.

by beetree on 04 November 2012 - 20:11

Well, you know what they say about stupid!

Edited... Ibrahim... I was NOT talking to you.... your reply showed up later.... just so you know... I was talking to ... GDSDAdmin

Flip/flop. Plenty of Republicans have had negative things to say about women. Yes, talk about ignorance. By the way that ignorance extends to electing Bush to a second term as he didn't do enough damage the first time around.

I will let the people talk. Flip/flop I am out of this.

You are a very smart man Ibrahim, Romney is a war monger and flip/flops like a fish out of water.

by beetree on 04 November 2012 - 20:11

Since all you can say is "flip-flip" and bringing up irrelevant past presidents, this is typical of your condemnations. Any how, the election is now, so what was your point? There are oodles of Democrats who have nothing good to say about women! They aren't even politicians, so how should that make a convincing argument in support of one politician's view, which proved he was also an idiot? Yep, harp and run away, I think it is because you are a bit worried, deep down inside!  Hmm? Thinking

Where has Romney war mongered? I have not heard any of that myself.

So, what is your point? What Obama doesn't have the country on the brink of depression, is that your problem?

Why would I be worried? Usually when someone projects like that they are the ones afraid/worried. I have nothing to fear no matter who is elected. What about you?

What has Obama done that has you afraid? What has Obama done that is worse than Bush? Is the country on the verge of depression? Do you want more bank/wall street bailouts? More wars? Romney is a loose cannon which is reflected by his flip flopping comments on foreign policy. Why do you think the world wants Obama? I highly doubt it is because they are jealous of us. As asserted by a member here. What would be the difference to them? Peace, safety, stable economy? What?

I think Ibrahim has it right the Republicans are dangerous. Dangerous to womens rights, other countries, the economy, the enironment and the elderly, you betcha.

Now if you don't mind I am out of here like a herd of turtles. We can talk more after the election as I don't plan on being here much for the next few days.

by beetree on 04 November 2012 - 22:11

Peace, and safety, let's start there!  Stable economy, let's go there! The very idea we vote because of the "world's approval" reeks of teenager logic. How exactly, I would like it explained using your example of Romney, if we assume you are correct--- that he is a loose cannon; how is that any worse than a cannon that will not fire when you need it? Do you think the Taliban equals the majority of Muslim thinkers? Who exactly are you talking about when you say the world knows better who should be our President than it's own people?

Hyperbole GSD... stop and just think beyond your blanket hatred of a political party!

So long as I have the last word, it works for me. LOL
