thank you. I also took advantage of the free eye screening for working dogs. The gal next to me had her dog diagnosed with ppm. I had never heard of it.

Over the years a few of my Malamutes had PPM's, iris to iris, on their CERF exams. They were still eligible for a CERF number with the "breeder's option" caveat. If I would have bred any of them, I'd have made sure the mate did not have PPM's. Even if it's not yet proven to be genetic in that breed, I think it's prudent to try to not double up on the condition. If I remember right, they disappeared on one male when he had an updated exam.  BTW your vet should be able to see PPM's, it doesn't take a CERF examiner with special equipment.
