Someone that advertises on here is using a picture of my dog (on her kennel website) when she was about 8 weeks old, and advertising it as her dog at 6 weeks old. Kind of impossible since at 6 weeks old the dogs were not even at our homes yet. She has a litter sister to my female. I don't even know where she got the photo, very strange. I didn't know this woman before, I just did a search for my dog's siblings to see what they look like now and found out that way. I emailed the woman and asked her to remove the picture and she has not responded to me at all.
What would you guys do next? Or am I making a big deal out of nothing? I just don't like the fact that she bred my dog's sister before she was even 2 years old. The parents of our puppies don't have any hips or elbow xrays on file , so I feel it's irresponsible to breed their offspring without checking that first. I guess a person who does that would have no problem using a photo of a littermate and claiming it is their dog.
I don't want to be a karen, but something about it doesn't feel right.

If there's a problem with an ad on here, contact one of the Moderators.

FWIW, when I looked at the ad at the URL in your post, the GSD in the photo looks older than 8 weeks old.

Come to think of it, i don't think a moderator can do anything about it since the stolen picture is on her personal website, not on here.

The puppy in the grass is my dog taken at my home when she was around 8 weeks old, not Stella....

Sorry but we can't do anything about this, had it been happening here it would have been dealt with.

Looks like I didn't read OP very carefully. Sorry.

Puppies from the same litter may look very much alike and hard to tell apart, especially in a photo. There is no way I could tell my dog when she was a puppy from at least one of the other puppies in her litter in the puppy photos. However, on the website in question, I did see there are different color collars in two of the puppy photos for the same dog.

As to how this person got the photo, if your breeder took photos of the puppies, it's possible the person got copies of photos of the litter from the breeder and thought she was using one of her dog when she was a puppy. Or if you sent a photo(s) to your breeder. Or if you posted the photo someplace on the web or on social media somewhere, it would be easy for someone to copy and use the photo unless you protected the photo in some way. If none of these, sometimes a photo can be tracked via Google Images.

FWIW, there are multiple legitimate reasons why someone might not look at her email for a week or two, or even longer. Including trying to get ahold of the breeder to find out which puppy photo is of her dog so an incorrect photo can be removed.

Or there could be "bad stuff" going on. Hopefully not.

Thanks GSCAt, I'm hoping it's the last reason you said, she just didn't look at her email.
The picture I took of my puppy on the grass was sent by me to the breeder, and he posted it on his facebook page. I don't have facebook but I saw it from a relative's account. He knew it was sent from me, and knew it was my puppy. Weird that this woman would take my photo from the page and advertise it as her dog. Also the breeder wouid know if it was a picture he took of the puppy at his house at 6 weeks or not. Impossible to post a picture of a dog at 6 weeks, 2 weeks later, the photo wouldn't have been in exisitance yet, at least not in this realm. I think the facebook has times or dates posted, I can't remember.

Given the information you provided, it's possible the person copied the photo off the breeder's FaceBook page thinking it was a photo of her dog at 6 weeks, and not realizing the photo was of a different puppy in the litter, and not realizing the puppy was 8 weeks old when the photo was taken.

If the other person doesn't reply to you, your breeder may be able to make contact on your behalf.

Hope you can get this straightened out pretty quickly and easily.
