If you are working on a dog's pedigree and several dogs in the pedigree have the following: "NEEDS BREED BOOK & REG NUMBER" listed, and you have hard copy/digital copies of pedigrees that list the breed book and registration numbers for those dogs (but do not want to request edit rights for them all) you can message me with a photo file of the pedigree in readable quality and I will manually add them onto each dog for you.
It can be faster for me as the admin to add them on instead of you waiting for edit rights, and the ultimate goal is to get rid off all the "NEEDS BREED BOOK & REG NUMBER" attached to dogs as they make pedigrees look less appealing.
Gradually I have been adding that tag to every akita in the system without a registration number listed- the only alternative (as it is a site RULE to put registration number on each dog) would be to delete every dog without a registration number listed, and I personally find that it would do more harm than good for this breed's database. The akita breed as a whole has several smaller pedigree databases that are incredibly incomplete and typically single country specific, so it is amazing to have them all linked together on this amazing website. On rare occasion I find a large list of registration numbers off of foreign show results and go through each individual dog to see if they are in the system and have a registration number.
Unfortunately as I am USA based, it can be hard to find the registration numbers of European and Asian dogs, and only slightly easier for Canada and South America.
Let's all do our part to clean up the entries in this breed!
