While I'm happy to see members are being vigilant about scams this ad does not appear to be one. Member has many past ads, some sold some looking to buy has been a member here since 2013. This is the first complaint on this member but I can't find anything here to make me suspect a scam and I generally spot one a mile away. Not many members that come here to scam actually choose to pay to advertise, they normally go for the free classifieds. Thank you though for highlighting your concerns.

Still seems a little steep in price, given the ad does not say what else (in re shipping costs etc) are covered by the 10 k dollars; neither link gives us his birthdate, we don't know how long ago he was graded SG2, or when he got his IPO I, or his KorKlasse ratings. And that his breeding seems a bit ordinary. So the OP's question still seems relevant. There is no doubt that some breeders have been raising prices in the wake of Corona virus.

Maybe try contacting the seller/member for answers to your many questions?

Oh I agree MrD, and if it was me looking to buy the dog I would ask. However the OP indicates the advertiser isn't very forthcoming through their webpages, which don't tell anyone a whole lot about them, or their dogs. It has been a Topic on PDB more than once about the lack of detail breeders/sellers include when selling dogs & litters. A breeder may be entirely genuine and above board - they may just not be very tech-savvy when it comes to social media; but they do not help their own case with buyers they want to attract when they fail to give much info. This would appear to be one example.

mrdarcy,

I looked up the seller and they have no other ads listed. Where are you seeing that they've listed multiple classifieds?

We have a list of expired ads that we can look back at.

Hence the question mark on the title, but I’m glad that the person has a history here at least. I would still like to see much more information from people advertising for $10,000 on here and did reach out via both text as indicated in ad (no reply) and via messages. As a potential buyer, these are huge red flags and as a potential buyer I did attempt to ask the advertiser the information before posting here. Only so much one can do and not having access to expired ads there is no trail to follow for the average person. 🤷🏻‍♀️

As I said earlier happy members are being vigilant with classifieds.
