I was able to watch some of  the tape and record it.  I was mistaken about Roger talking about Ingo Rudingen.  I see where he said he did not know Ingo personally, but I hear him mention a few other DDR dogs.

Its not so easy getting the tapes to play and then being able to record them.  They are very old and some just break apart, especially if I try to rewind or fast forward.  I have other people talking about bloodlines and dogs, but the tapes are very dry and brittle.  If anyone has any ideas on how to revitalize them, I will be happy to try.

well, here we have few people who has lengthy experience in breeding, going far enough back in time.
i don't, albeit it is possible have seen and worked descendants of Ingo without knowing it.
anyway, my point is that - how do you expect to find something, resembling Ingo, if he was active in breeding nearly 50 years ago?
since then all his progeny went through big changes, which happened in perception of GSDs from standpoint of commercial success on mass market.
it seems today the dogs, who resemble old type by temperament, rather are unexpected incidental odds, than intentional effort from breeders and they mostly get dismissed from breeding use due to being unfit for present social and extremely friendly profile of the dog for mass consumers.
