Duke, I will only speak on the dogs in the pedigree that I have my own knowledge of.  On the dam side I particularly like Pike, Ellute and Hasko.  I never worked around any of the Pike dogs, but saw enough dogs later on that I took one of his puppies.  I met sons or grandsons from Ellute and Hasko policing in the states at numerous seminars.  Good dogs.  I ran backup (only one time) for a handler with his Hasko son, out of a Danaru bitch.  This was a good tracking dog and had a good reputation among handlers.  Unfortunately we did not find the suspect that time, but the next day he did find the suspect and ended up sinking teeth.  Mother went back on Adela.  I policed with a Danaru son through the M litter out of Adela.  Those breedings seemed to have been a good line for police work.

The sire side is not a bad line.  I am a fan of Sid.  Never knew him, but knew some of his progeny.  These were good, solid police dogs.  Never needed to table the Sid line.  I cannot recall meeting a Teufelsgrund dog in police work that I did not like(period).  I am curious about the dog Emir out of Javir.  I have never worked around Javir progeny, but through the grapevine he seemed to produce healthy, solid dogs.

I have some experience with young female pups who start talking smack early.  I like these pups when they also have forward movement to the threat when they are young.

Hmmm, interesting, that is why you cannot trust pedigrees too much and everybodys opinion differs, also because we maybe saw different dogs, I dont particularly like the fathersside of my female, very happy she is mothertypical

Ellute is great producer and still in many pedigrees of good dogs, no discussion there, you mention good dogs coming over Adela(VS), she comes over a Cir daughter, that was extremely strong and well producing line for LE dogs, will blame that qualities on strong producing female

on the sire, agree on sid, also like zender in there and doubling up with cora and eick(forma) again strong female LOL

Duke - what do you see in this pup's pedigree and what do you expect to see from her as she matures?

Koots, Im running on multiple of this litter, wrote about my toughts on ped in previous post, I select breedingfemale based upon genetic qualities, not trained behaviour, points or who is or isnot in the pedigree

Pups will be for LE, breeding and/maybe sport

just curious duke, at this age or younger what are some things you like to see in a pup if you want extreme hunt drive? I've heard a lot about selecting older dogs for this but not too much on puppies

OK Duke, you say the dam is mother-typical but what qualities does the dam have that made you choose her? You also said that you chose dam based on genetic qualities vs trained behaviour, so what did you do to be able to see past the training? Did you select the dam as a young adult?

astrovan, I look more at posession than actual hunt, so wanting to get is important, but more so is willingness to keep, even when distracted etc

koots, bought the female at real youn age, before training, she is metal apporter, strong civil bite, brutal attacks but not allways full calm grips, strong built lady

Thanks for explaining, Duke. Good luck with her, she looks like she's a firecracker.
