That's the norm here at my house. Of course when my pups first start coming out and about, I have to put some brakes on, hence gates and fencing. Not one of my dogs gets put into a crate, and rarely go into the kennels.

For the most part, I really don't have problems with my dogs fighting, In fact I have seen more kennel dogs with torn ears and such from fence fighting.

Of course they grumble here and there at each other, i tell them, are you kidding me!

My dogs are fed well, so there are no food aggression issues, in fact puppies can eat out of same bowl with any one of my adult dogs.

There is no competion for my attention, as they are all with me and each gets plenty of one on one.  It sometimes boggles the brain when so many say two or more dogs will prefer the company of each other over their people, which is totally untrue. They pull my shoes right off my feet walking with me.

when I leave, I have a couple of dogs that I put in their own rooms, with access 24/7 to large fenced area, because i am not going to tempt fate, and I am not an idiot, I ve broke up dog fights before, BUT, as long as they know whose the boss, everything good.

and I put these pictures now to show , you can have multiple dogs, and have them all in good health and good condition.

it depends how much you value them

Thank you. The pix are nice.

I have run in to many, who think it is not possible for dogs and cats to coexist safely/happily, or for more than one dog to coexist safely/happily.

We have had as many as 4 dogs and 3 cats... a smaller "herd" than in the photos above, but everyone was expected to behave toward their "brothers" and "sisters." Nothing less was tolerated, and mixed piles of animals were usual. It worked out well enough that we were able to dog sit and cat sit for coworkers/friends with emergencies.  The resident canine and feline family members showed the guests the ropes ;-)
