Any thoughts on AKC Registration vs CKC registration???

I know CKC is easier to get into & AKC has been around a whole lot longer.
But I purchased an AKC dog, whom I later found out was not purebred, so AKC has been slipping up on their end.
Also I blame myself from not purchasing from a reputable breeder, you live & learn.
I was thinking about going with CKC just for that reason.
Also I have a purebred who didn’t come with papers but has been tested & fits breeds standards, I know CKC will let you join if you can prove the breed to be true.

Feel free to give thoughts & ideas :)

Continental Kennel Club.

Dogs registered with CKC Continental Kennel Club are not allowed on the PDB as it is not a PDB recognized Breed Registry.

I think the Continental KC will register a toaster - not reputable

welp, CKC to me is Canadian Kennel Club.

the ckc you are proposing is papers on anything that doesn't meet standards of whatever country/whatever established club of that country, for whatever breed.

in other words, it's bogus papers for bogus breeding that lots of folks will fall/pay for.

I really don't mean to be rude, but you asked.

vonJagershouse, take a look at the separate thred "Thoughts on pedigree ? " by LarizeMagnum. You may find it interesting / informative.

BTW, you really don't need to start an individual new topic thred every time you want to post, or have an additional question to ask. Conversations in one place are less confusing & less difficult to pick up later.
