It is a much more realistic trial and less of a sport. This is how the military and police dogs were/are tested.
A very good friend of mine, who is from Slovakia, is working on putting together a translated manual for the training and trialing of dogs in this manner. My schutzhund club is also considering holding trials under these rules at some point.
If you are interested in more info send me a pm. I will be helping her write the manual so that it makes better sense in English.
To the OP those titles are meaningless as for trialing here or anywhere else unless you decided to trial according to those rules.
Any title is meaningless unless it is recognized by the organization you are trialing under.
If you go to an AKC obedience event and tell them that you have a Sch3 on your dog they will tell you to get in line with the beginners. Sch 3 is meaningless to AKC for obedience.

I agree wit OGBS. Schutzhund and other working titles do not transfer into anything with the American Kennel Club, so to them it means nothing. You buy their official pedigree, its nothing but names & registration numbers. Hip certification info doesn't transfer, either.
Actually, I have heard that schutzhund trained dogs who heel with more attentativeness of being curved and ever so slightly ahead of the handler looking up at them will be judged by an AKC judge more critically. So some modifications would have to be made in training if you ever planned on showing in AKC obedience with a dog with working titles from other countries.
